"I say make time to dance alone with one hand waving free."
Just finished watching Elizabethtown with the roomie.  I love this movie and always come away with a good feeling after watching it... it's quirky and different and funny and endearing.  And I love the road trip at the end, with Drew and his dad and Claire narrating.  Beautiful and heartbreaking all the same.  :)

I downloaded both soundtracks and want to jump in my car and drive, with no particular destination in mind.  Great stuff.

Elizabethtown

Elizabethtown has officially become one of the movies I love with all my heart. After all, there aren't many movie which can move you to tears and put a genuine big hearty smile on your face at the same time.

Watching it is just like going through a journey of life.

Yea, journey, that's the word. Life is a journey.

And it's easy to get lost.

But when you're lost, just dun lock yourself in the mess, take a deep breath and carry on, something's gonna come up.

Focusing on just one particular spot on the way's a waste. There's more to life than just one aspect. Life's made up of everything. Things you have, things you've lost, things that you dun realize that you have, things that you take for granted, things that you won't even glance at but are nevertheless beautiful. So just let your sight runs wild and far, take these beautiful little things in and make yourself happy.

Sometimes the companions you have in the journey may not be with you to the very end, but whenever you're alone, always remember all they want is that you're happy with yourself, happy with your life, and even when you fail big, you're able to bounce right back and ready to rock and roll again.

So collect yourself, get your map, bring your music and rock all the way to the end.

And that's just life.

After the absence.

Haven't been updating lately because our cable internet died out on us a while back. We just recently bought a new modem and fixed it. Today, I went to an art festival for my last cultural event, and then mom and I ate at Mikuni's. I ordered their "Special Scallops" and didn't realize they'd be raw scallops! It was still good though... but not something you'd ordered just for yourself to eat. Then we went to the mall, where I bought a pair of blue classic Keds for my "school girl" costume in the play. Then we saw the movie Elizabethtown together, and it was a lot of fun. Although it didn't really meet my expectations, I still thought it was pretty good. Very charming. And I love the soundtrack.

Tomorrow, the whole cast is going over to Alex's house for set making and preparation. All next week is tech week (egads!), meaning that rehearsals will be at six o'clock at night for a couple of hours or so! It's finally time to start panicking! lol. On top of all that, I still have community service to do! Five hours of float building after school! Now how in this world is this going to work out?

Saw Elizabethtown, gonna see Tut
Yay!  With the help of a TV program to jog my non-existent memory, I finally booked tickets for the King Tut Exhibit in LA next week.  This makes me very happy since I missed the last Tut exhibit in the late 70's/80's or whenever it was.  I was not driving yet and my dad wouldn't take me.  Grr!  Not that I'm still bitter or anything....

I'm really looking forward to seeing this.  It leaves town next month, so I figured this week off is the time to go.  I had hoped to work in the G house on Tue, but now I'm thinking not.  Well, maybe a little to  take some trash out or something.

Sis and I went to see "Elizabethtown" at the matinee today.  It's not bad at all, but nothing I'd want to pay full price or wait in line for.  They've got it in the smallest theatres in the comlex.  Orlando is cute and is acting as an American.  Kinda oddish.  It was a bit long and drawn out.  A finding yourself movie.
