Early @ MindSay

Good Morning
Well, I'm up early this morning, for me anyway. I usually don't get to bed before 3 a.m. (last night it was 5:30) so 10:00 is early. Miah, Lightray's dog, wanted someone up with her and wouldn't take no for an answer. She has the most pitiful whine she uses when she wants her way and she can go sonic if she needs to. Anyway, I'm up and now the the dog is asleep in her chair. Yes, she has her own chair in the living room; we all do. Hubby gets the couch, Lightray's is the reclining love seat, I have my recliner and Miah has a platform rocker. Oh, yeah, she's spoiled... even has a collar with her name in rinestones that cost over $30! I told Lightray no, but she has Hubby wrapped around her little finger, so he bought it. Oh, Miah  even has her own blog, check it out.

Oh, man, I need coffee!

Update!!!
So, I am off to Texarkana next
Wednesday to live by myself for
a month until the house if fully
ready.. I apparently have to let
everybody into the house to
do work and such, and I have to
register for college next week...

My birthday is Thursday, and I
am very excited.. My mom is
driving from Dallas to come
to Texarkana (which is about
3 1/2 hours away) just to see
me, and I think she is going to
spend the night at the new house,
which is funny because my
dad hates her, and this is a way
for comic relief...

This morning I was woke up
at 9:00.. 9:00 freaking a clock,
the one day that I could sleep in
I was woke up... UGH!!!!
My uncle is in from Alabama,
so things are well... My
friends are taking me out for
my birthday tonight...

Pics from the outing and the new
house will be up very soon

Sedalia life--Columbia life???

This intriguing woman wrote to me on one of the dating sites that I peruse from time to time.  I have tried yahoo personals, and it seemed like all the women wanted someone who made over $50,000 a year, and a fattie wouldn't be their cup of tea.  I also tried Eharmony, and told them that I went to church on a regular basis.  I got every Jesus loving woman in America write to me, many from places I would not even want to visit, much less move to.  I wish they would have told me of everybody local, and let me pick my own person.

Anyway, there was a woman from a town near Columbia that I wrote to.  She had said hey there on one of her opening lines free from the company, and I said that I would like to talk to her.  She wrote back that she would like to talk to me too.  I called the bank line telling you how much money you had in the bank, and they said enough to cover the first month, so I said yeah, boyyyy.  I wrote to her last night.  She wrote to me, and I'll just take it from their.  Darryl met his current girlfriend from there, and although she is cute, her and Darryl really aren't a great match.  But he is currently happy, while looking for other women to date.  He goes through women like I go through underwear, a new one every three months or so.  (Just kidding.  I change every day or so, whenever I shower.)

Anyway, I was thinking of moving to Columbia, and since she lives near there, I figure why not write to her.  I did, and I gave her my Yahoo mail address, and phone number, but she just wants to converse using the web site, whiich is okay with me.  I try not to go too fast at times, because I don't want her to think I am desperate,  which is a trait that I DO like in a woman.  (Just kidding.  But, I do like the women with lowered expectations.  If I were rich and good looking and a good dancer, I wouldn't have trouble meeting women.)

Well, we have had rain all day.  We cancelled the picnic at church today for the park, and instead had it down in the basement of the church because of the heat.  A big rain went through all afternoon when I was sleeping, and I woke up and it was 68o on the bank clock.  It was really good.  My brother had a cookout, where he cooked ribs and pork steak, and Caron and Darryl's girlfriend said that they almost needed a sweatshirt.  I told them to enjoy it while they could.  It will be nice Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then it will be a little warmer on Thursday and Friday, and in the upper 80s on the weekend.  At least we haven't had the problems that Cedar Rapids and Iowas City had over the last week.  I have a friend who used to live in Iowa City, and I visited him there, and we went to a minor league baseball game in Cedar Rapids.  Minor league baseball is something like the Royals and Pirates have, but without the big salaries.

Well, I am really watching my money until I get my check from the George Bush re-election fund.  I have heard a lot of people only getting $300 each instead of the promised $600.  I owe a phone bill of a hundred dollars, and have to get my truck licensed in July, so that might take a lot of my money.  I was planning on having the extra money so I could spend a little that wouldn't be absolutely necessary, instead of having to borrow money from my brother to get by the rest of the month.

Well, I cleaned my house, sort of.  I listened to Joel Osteen on TV while I cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom.  I straightened up the front room while I was watching Siskel and Roeper.  It is still sloppy looking, but not filthy.  I got three bags of trash from the front room, mostly stepped on Newsweeks and Times that were on the floor.  I picked up two Kmart bags of trash from the front room.

Speaking of Kmart, I bought three pairs of pants in my usual size, and I couldn't fit into them.  Gosh I need to exercise.  Darryl gave me a bike that he had bought so he could ride with one of his ex girlfriends.  They need tire work, but I'll take them over to Brother Harry's, my friend from church.  He fixed an old bike up for me, and it was okay, but wouldn't go into low gear.  I could ride for about a mile, but couldn't ride across town to Caron's, which is about five miles away.  I figure that if I ride a bike around town, I will get in better shape, while limiting my gas spending.

Well, this is a rather long slice of life, so I'll say goodbye.  Tata for now, Dougie Fresh

8 Top Early Pregnancy Symptoms
If you and your spouse have been trying for a baby, you may wonder about the earliest signals that will announce a pregnancy. While some women experience early symptoms that indicate pregnancy, others suspect it only when they realize that they have missed their periods.

For those impatient aspiring dads who can't wait longer to find out, here are the eight top early pregnancy symptoms that they should look out for:

Darkening of the nipples

Darkening of the nipples, or more precisely the skin around the nipples (called areola), could be one of the early pregnancy symptoms. However, it could also be a sign of hormonal imbalance, so hold on before you jump to the wrong conclusions.

Odd food cravings

A sudden and inexplicable craving for certain foods is another potential, though not always reliable, sign of pregnancy. So if you find your spouse midnight snacking on a chili cheeseburger for the nth time this week, you have good reason to keep your fingers crossed.

Headache or dizzy spells

Pregnancy will cause hormonal changes in your spouse's body that may lead to headaches. A sudden onset of headaches, especially if she never had them before, could be an early pregnancy symptom. Bouts of dizziness, due to a drop in her blood pressure, may be another early sign that she is expecting.

Urge to urinate

During pregnancy, your spouse's body will release the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) that induces increased urination. Her frequent bathroom visits may actually be something to be happy about.

Cranky moods

Frequent mood swings and crankiness are yet another early pregnancy symptom, as you will soon find out. While this may not be the happiest part of the pregnancy where you are concerned, at least you can blame it on those raging hormones.

Swollen breasts

If your spouse complains that her breasts seem sore or tender when touched, that's another sign that you may soon become a dad.

Nausea

Nausea and vomiting, starting few weeks after conception or even earlier, may be one of the most common early symptoms of pregnancy. The popular term 'morning sickness' is a misnomer though, as the symptoms are felt pretty much throughout the day.

Missed periods

A missed period, especially if your spouse is generally regular with them, may be a very likely indication of pregnancy. However, only a pregnancy test will confirm this for sure.

Catch me some worms

Today I was scheduled for a noon to eight shift at Hamline, as I am every Sunday. The hours as the library have been a bit wonky of late, due to the changing semesters. Today was my first day back after a two week hiatus, and because of the wonkiness of the schedule, I checked, rechecked, and then checked again to make certain I was due in today at noon.

I made no mistake...but when I arrived at noon, the library was dark. Doors locked, lights off, no one in sight. Seemingly closed. This made no sense to me, as I knew I was supposed to be in at noon. How could I have screwed this up? Well, I didn't. Apparently, during J-term the library doesn't open until 1:00 pm on Sundays, instead of noon. I had no knowledge of this, being my first J-term working there and all, I was just going by the schedule. I guess my bosses overlooked this fact when creating the schedule. Good times.

Not really that big of a deal, I came in and did some paperwork before opening, so it isn't like my time was wasted. I just thought it was funny. Me, and hour early for work. And I didn't catch one single worm...life can be so unfair.
