Dinosaur @ MindSay

Last year I worked the holiday season at an Amazon warehouse. 60 hour weeks right before Christmas. It wasn't too bad (pay was decent especially considering the small town) but I hated the drive and standing on my feet. This year I'm not working there (though I might consider it if I hadn't moved a few hundred miles away) but I'm wondering what the most popular toys will be this year.

I really like Kota My Triceratops, the dinosaur robot toy / pet from Playskool for the preschool age kids. It's way cooler than anything I had a child. The thing weighs 35 pounds, so I'm pretty glad I don't have to be boxing it up.

This week the DH & I became aunt & uncle for the 10th time! My sister had a healthy baby boy on the 20th. Congrats!

Baby nephew Seth is not the only new addition, however, a very special dinosaur also joined the family on New Year's Eve:

Here's a follow-up article on the article I previously posted. There are, of course, still skeptics, but it's proving to revolutionary in the field of paleontology.

Dinosaur DNA Sequenced; Similar to Chicken Protein

This is a relatively recent discovery, so I don't think all of the facts are solidified yet, but if it ends up being real then this would be...just too awesome for words. I'll definitely have to follow this closely.

T-Rex Tissue Discovered

I'm a dinosaur!  RAWWWRRRRRR!

I am a BIG KID!  At school I am now in the Dinosaur class! I get to go upstairs and learn LOTS of new things.  Today I was upstairs for lunch and nap and snack, and tomorrow I get to wear pajamas again and there is a pizza party, but I don't like pizza.

Friday is a family day and Mommy said that if it isn't cold and rainy we can go to the zoo to see Randall the giraffe.  My friend Paige and Paige's Mommy are coming too!

Mommy and Abba and I have been talking a lot about Savta.  I miss her and want her to come back.  Tonight I asked Mommy where Savta is and I remembered the fun things I did with Savta like reading the newspaper and playing on the computer and playing trains and puzzles.  Then I looked at Mommy and Abba's big white book where they got married and saw pictues of Savta looking very happy.  Mommy said she was going to make me pictures of me and Savta together to hang in my room so that I can see her and say goodnight to Savta.  I know she is in my heart and I remember her in my head, but I miss her a lot.
