"Wearing Lab coats has never been so much fun!" - Part One.
August is a very busy month. There’s my mom’s week camp I have to assist in (watching 8-10 kids, maybe even more…); a St. Pierre family reunion, and getting back and ready for school (consists of purchasing supplies and showing my brother around the school as he is entering Grade Nine). My dad’s birthday (turning the big 4-0!), and saying farewell to my cousins who are moving to Alberta.
This barely even leaves me any time for one last update on a first person… Errr… ‘Novel’, I suppose you could say. (Even though I have one last scene to go; I’ll have to take a Saturday off and finish it before the last week of August...)

But yes, curious about the title, are you? Guess what Emily got to do today!

I got to take part in assisting a big role in watching around ten kids today; for my mom’s camp. It happens every year, where kids register and participate in small crafts, games, songs, a (very) small movie split into parts (featuring a puppet chipmunk named Chadder). – And all this comes down to a very special theme that is featured everyday; and leads community kids closer, or to know God for the first time.

This year – was a science theme. All the ‘crew leaders’ (this is what I’m doing) get to wear LAB COATS! =D It’s so fun! (And I’m spiking my hair up with gel for the rest of the week JUST for the occasion…!)

We have around 125 kids signed up now, though – holy cow!

When we went to the story (basically, this is where the daily bible story is acted out) – today was when “Jesus heals ten people infected with Leprosy” ((hope I spelt that right)). So they stuck red stickers on our faces and told us we were ‘infected’. You know, young ‘uns these days – their imaginations can make something so easy seem so realistic.

Today’s theme of the day was “God has the power so we can be thankful” (AHA!)
“Aha!” – We have to say that whenever the “theme of the day is mentioned” – and that changes everyday. (You know, say it with enthusiasm! Like a scientist getting a sudden spark for a new invention!)

I’ll stop now – I’m just really excited, and really bushed and tired at the same time.

But… With kids so young; the best place to interact with and fiddle around with is their imagination. …Sooo…

“Okay; let’s all put our goggles on!” (Even though I never got a pair because we had SO MANY KIDS…) Two boys (around 10 and 11) just rolled their eyes at me; but I didn’t care about how ridiculous I acted. I just wanted the young ones to look forward to seeing me tomorrow.
“We’re going to go underwater and swim to the crafts!” (There’s a scene of Moses parting the Red Sea along the walls) – Most of them really liked the idea and participated; which made me happy.
(When we went outside to the games; I pretended we were in a desert – because it was warm and the sun was out).
Now, thanks to stuff like that – I have a young boy who’s seven who wants to be around me all the time.
Not that I don’t mind. =)

In other news… I beat the Elite Four in Pokemon Diamond on August 9th. I caught a level 18 Zangoose by inserting my Ruby Game Pak into the Gameboy slot and using the Poke Radar – and I also obtained the Eevee from Bebe (female on the SECOND TRY! =D). It took me about a half hour to decide what I wanted to evolve it into…

Jolteon – Pokemon XD
Flareon – Pokemon XD
Vaporeon – Pokemon FireRed
Umbreon – Pokemon Colosseum
Espeon – Pokemon Colosseum

I was left with Leafeon and Glaceon. I’ve never really raised a grass type before (and I rarely ever do), so I went for that… I levelled my Eevee up at the Moss Rock in Eterna Forest, boom, there’s the Leafeon (did I mention FEMALE?! =D) – it is now at level 9.
Now I have an empty slot in my team… I was thinking of raising a Shellos and evolving it into a Gastrodon?? I don't want my Empoleon - so I was thinking of raising that instead.

Meh, I’m tired – my legs feel like jelly, and I woke up at 8 AM this morning. I’m gonna go to bed for a while, catch up on some sleep, and get all refreshed.

Well, last night, as I was taking the last few turns on the Bowser's Gnarly Party board, whilst responding to some posts on my forum - I got the craving to start a new game of Pokémon Diamond.

So whilst I was waiting for the slow-as-shit computers to take their turns, I opened up Pokésav and Serebii.net - and started making a team of six hacked monsters that I wanted to be my main team throughout the game.

I gave them high-level moves and high levels of IV and EV points too. Of course, I made them look legit, giving them the right natures, correct areas and the right abilities.

I hacked the following:

Espeon - "Emily" - level 8

Jolteon - "Spike" - level 8

Grimer - "Sticky" - level 10

Cyndaquil - "Volvic" - level 8

Piplup - level 5 - shiny

And my favourite ownage monster:

Rattftratz! - Level 1 Rattata with a focus sash, quick attack and endeavor! :)

I also altered my ID number, so it was the same one as my LeafGreen game - 24606.

I love that number, and I think it suits me well. :)

Heh, I've just noticed, it starts with the first numbers of my birthdate too.

I've been playing it for about six hours now.

I've even gone to the trouble of hacking some Mew, Palkia, Turtwig, Piplup and Chimchar for the greedy bastards on the GTS.

It won't let me trade my Palkia though - which is typical, because I caught 7 of them at level 99.

Humph. Nothing ever changes.

Either way, Adam came over today - and we spent most of the day sat about, eating chocolate and drinking Cherry Coke.

Then we turned on Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and played a few 2P VS matches - then I was asked to play with my Chao.

I don't see what's so interesting about watching someone play with Chao... But.

Yeah, I did a bit of that, and completed a few more missions - but I'm getting to the point of the game now where I proper can't do anything else - the missions I have left to do are sodding ridiculous.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, I'm back on Mario Party 4 at the moment.

I've done about 10 turns of Shy Guy's Jungle Jam - responding to forum posts whilst I wait for the computers.

I'm getting towards the end of the board now, as I'm writing this as Luigi, Daisy and Mario are messing about with mega mushrooms, running over star spots because they're retard CPUs on Normal difficulty. :)

This time, I'm playing through as Waluigi.

I've done it with Peach, Daisy and Wario, so I'm onto Waluigi next.

Then I'll do DK, so I've done the bottom row of characters. :)

As we all know, the Mario Party music gets so annoying and repetitive after a while - so I've made myself a playlist.

OMFG... I JUST WON 100 COINS IN THE LOTTERY SHOP!!!

Yeah, the coin star is TOTALLY in the bag. :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But yes, as I was saying, the playlist. :)

I feel like making a big list, so I'll list the songs that are on it.

OMFG, LUIGI JUST STOLE MY STAR - THE LITTLE SHIT!

NOW I'M SECOND!

Not that it matters, of course... I'm going to win the mini-game star and the coin star, because Normal level CPUs are total retards.

Now this is multi-tasking at its finest. :)

I'm currently playing Mario Party 4, whilst listening to music.

I'm also on my PC.

For the past hour, and for the future several hours - I'm also going to be writing this blog, responding to forum posts, reading fan fiction, organising music, downloading stuff and maybe even doing a bit of writing and/or planning.

ROFL!

A MINI GAME STARTED WITHOUT ME NOTICING, AND I DIDN'T REALISE TILL 10 SECONDS IN - AND I STILL BEAT ALL THREE OF THEM!

Normal CPU retards! :D

Lmao, I have 218 coins, and it's the last turn. Eee. :)

A realisitic look

Well, it's nearly a year on Youtube now, and I've been thinking about what achievements I've made to date. In my opinion, it's been very little. In relation to many others, the Youtube stuff is probably quite successful, but not in my objectives. I'm only about 250 subscribers outside the top 100 UK musicians of all time. That appears to be great, but it's not supported me financially at all.

Basically, I'm a singer/songwriter. I write what I consider to be good songs, and that's been backed up by good friends and industry professionals. I consider that at the age of 42, I'm not a teenager anymore. So I'm not aiming to be a performer. The logical route is for me to write songs, and then push them out to signed bands. In the hope that they would want to record some of my material. It doesn't matter what age you are. As long as you write good songs that people will want to sing.

This all came about from seeing the Jonathan ross show yesterday evening. The main guest was Neil Diamond. He started his career as a songwriter. Writing great songs, such as "I'm a believer", which was a hit for "The Monkees". It would be nice to have 1 percent of his success. Out of all singers in this world. My voice has been compared the most to Neil Diamond.

So I'm not throwing in the towel yet. It's true that the longer you make an effort. The more credible you become to the music industry. The more tunes you compose, the greater the chance of someone important wanting to use them. I've written and recorded over 100 songs, but I've only made about 20 of them public. At this very moment I'm writing another new one!

Some advice to songwriters. Never, ever give up. You might achieve nothing, but at least if you make an effort. You'll know whether you could have had success. That's better than not knowing at all, and looking back and thinking what if?

If you don't have good financial backing, then it can be a massive sacrifice. You can get to a point where you have almost nothing at all. If you are determined, then you will not let that affect your efforts.

I'm going to finish this post with a link to my Youtube channel, and the current Youtube stats.

Here's my Youtube channel. You can check out some of my original material on there.

Jeffstunes Youtube Channel

My Subscribers = 621

Current Channel views are 13,352

I'm going to be recording some of my new song today, so I'll be enjoying that.

Until my next post :)

Everywhere around the word

A number of months back, one of my friends asked me to do "America" by "Neil Diamond". I finally got around to doing it :)

It didn't matter to him that it took so long. He was overjoyed.

No beating about the bush.

Here is my rendition:

Not so long ago, I made instrumental versions of my own songs available online. For those that were interested in covering me, or using my music in their videos. I've already had 4 takers, and many more promises. A couple did an acoustic version of one of my songs, and someone else used my instrumental compositions in three of their videos. I'm pretty pleased with that :)

Here's the regular stats information.

I lost one subscriber, but then I gained another. So the total still stands at 438.

The channel views are up to 10,702.

The video views are now at 125,856.

A slight ponder over my next video.

Ah yes. A bit of Robbie Williams :)

Hello again.

On to the second of two Neil Diamond requests. This was another of his big hits, and my version on Youtube has done very well. It's viewing figures are just about double that of the previous video.

The tune is "Hello again". If you know Neil Diamond, and you haven't heard of this song, then you need a serious talking too :)

Here is my version:

That's the last of Neil Diamond for a while. The next 3 songs are all written and performed by me.

Now my regular statistical update of my Youtube Channel.

For the first time between posts. There hasn't been an increase in Subscribers. The figure still stands at 392.

However, my channel viewings have passed the 10k target and are now at 10,064.

Video views now stand at 110,754.

On I go :)
