1. - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random”

The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to "Random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.
5 - Post it with this text in the "caption" and TAG the friends you want to join in.
Here are my crazy random creations:
The first album image was so perfect, I didn't have to do much to doctor up the photo. I think the name "Pages" would be a wonderful band name.
The second album I created was also a perfectly random thing. The band name "Actrices" is french for "Actresses" and the image so reminds me of a foregin film.
The third album looks like it would be great for a progressive metal band or an all female punk band, something like that. I didn't know if the wikipedia random hit "Magpie Attacks" would work, but the random image pulls it together with the quote.
When I next hit randon on wikipedia, I got the title of a 1936 western film "The Mysterious Avenger" and I wondered how the hell I was going to make that seem sense. Somehow it fit the image and random quote. I could imagine this album and band name to be that of an electro ambient project.
Now the fifth album -- too funny! "Espiritu Santo" is Spanish for Holy Spirit and the random quote I swear is pure heaven. If this couple were an alternative band, I bet they would have some Catholic school issues. Oh, yeah, and I bet they are totally Euro Pop!
I didn't think the image, the quote, or the random wikipedia article name would work, but somehow I made them combine. I would imagine that the woman in the photo would be a singer like Enya. She has that kind of look.
Another one that I didn't know would work. Some of these are challenging little graphic design projects. The "Arbor House" band I imagine to be strictly Celtic folk. The house looks inviting, doesn't it? I wonder who is inside...?
This one was harder, sadder. The Wikipedia article on "The Falling Man" was about a man who fell from the North Tower of the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks in New York City. You can't escape the memory of the image of that man. I remember it vividly because it was an image posted online and in magazines everywhere and I almost didn't use it for this exercise because the memory of it really hits me hard in the chest. But then I came across this image of a doll sporting dragonfly wings and the random quote fit perfectly. It is still meloncholy, but more fantasy-charming than something haunting. And what a nice quote to cover something so tragic.
Rondeau is a type of French poetry and is a form of verse also used in English language poetry. The image of the girl in the bathtub was just too easy to play with. The random quote I mirrored as if the text, too, were in the tub with the girl. I imagine that Rondeau as a band would be all about French jazz and spoken word poetry.
Ambracia was an ancient Greek mythological princess, daughter of Menelaus, son of Apollo and Oechalia.The city of Ambracia in Epirus was named after her. As a singer, Ambracia's twangy voice and feminist punk attitude catapoulted her to country music stardom. She grew up in a trailer park outside of Las Vegas, Nevada with her single mother, Maude. She can kick Shania Twain's ass any day. She even makes Hip Hop gangster rappers and punk rock stars fall in love with her. K.D. Lang discovered her.
Blumfeld is the main character of the short story "Blumfeld, ein älterer Junggeselle" by Franz Kafka. Blumfeld was also an indie-pop band from Hamburg, Germany. So here I'm creating a fake album cover that could've been one for a real band. But this Blumfeld, I imagine, is a stand-up comic like Dane Cook. He really does hate everyone equally (taken from a quote by W.C. Fields).
Nancy Garden, in real life, is a children's book author. But this Nancy is an irish folk singer! Hah! Can you just imagine her on a retro '70s album cover? You know. Like one of those cheesy ones you'd find at some rummage sale.
Oligomerus just sounds like a death metal band. The name is a genus of beetles. I imagine flesh eating beetles like out of The Mummy fame.
Blue Blake is the name of a porn director and star. This "blue blake" is all about disco. Sparkles, doesn't she?
I really lucked out when I got Wolfsbane for a wikipedia article. Sometimes random doesn't seem all that random. I did cheat a little here on the quote. I had to do more than just five or four words. Fits, don't it? I imagine this is a heavy metal hair band parodying the hot chic on the roof of a car theme!
Blacktip Trevally is a kingfish. As a band they're a laid back, geek rock duo who sing about the trials and tribulations of being a guy. They realize you can't love everyone, but they sure as hell are trying. Let's hear it for the boys, eh?
I was hoping I'd be able to do an Asian singer album cover! This one just fell together perfectly. I got the name Cat Tien from the national park in Vietnam. I just cut off the "national park" part to make the name simple. I like the quote I got the last four words from: "Do not judge men by mere appearances; for the light laughter that bubbles on the lip often mantles over the depths of sadness, and the serious look may be the sober veil that covers a divine peace and joy. I'd like to think Cat Tien the singer is all about expressing the joy of living. She's such a total sweetheart, the sound of her voice will you give you toothaches!
Oh So Sharp is named after a successful British racehorse. Oh So Sharp the band I would imagine is euro pop duo who may sound like Erasure. Their songs would totally focus on bitter sweet relationships. Jealousy with a Halo, indeed.
She seems like Tori Amos. She is thoughtful, a bit mournful, yet smooth like a creamy cup of cocoa on a chilly day. Noëlle would be the perfect background music for a cafe.
NUDE TOUR! Oh. My. God. I was lucky to randomly get the title Nude Tour which was a greatest hits concert tour by Prince in 1990. You can just IMAGINE what kind of band that would name themselves after this! They'd have to play the kind of music to shake a booty to. The model is actually wearing a bikini bottom made entirely of coffee beans. Washing your hands after hearing this album must mean the music is down right messy funky!
Yeah, after all that, I'm wiped!
