To Do List: 10/13/06

• Get Sandi Ready for a Real Day
  
• Breakfast for Cyclone
• Cyclone off to school
• Cartoon Ranger off to FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL (for a half-day)
• Spousal Unit off to side job
• Receive new washing machine from delivery
• Pick up CR before school has lunch (at eleven)

All of the above is supposed to be done

• With only one car
• All between the hours of 7:30 and 11:00 (except getting Cyclone to the bus. That is done by 7.)

Obviously, something is going to have to give.  Spousal Unit needs our only car for the job and he figured he would take me with him to drop CR off at school and then with him for the call since going back home would take too much extra time.  Which means Sandi won't be HOME to receive the new washing machine. 

But having CR start school -- even on a half a day -- is extremely important.

I think...though it pains me and makes me wince...I'm going to have to reschedule the washing machine delivery.  I guess the two-foot agitation method will have to do for another few days...

Spousal Unit had wanted to do the Costco run tomorrow morning...I think that'll have to wait. 

What a day!  And it isn't even here, yet. lol

Going to see the Davinci Code..by myself. My husband is still in alabama somewhere..they screwed up his load, sounds like a nightmare..but he wont be home til 9 tonite or later he said... Anyone that I can think of has taken off for the holiday weekend..

 

Our weekend is screwed by this company... they are so stupid..they have changed it to 7 day work week... hubby says office depot has too much time on their hands...lol.. but he was supposed to be home by lunch today..have off the rest of the day..tomorrow, work monday, then off tuesday and back wed...but because he leaves to go into work at like 2 am... it makes for a short nite and a long day for him.

 

Tomorrow he will be good and plenty tired.

 

Do they still make good n plenty candies?

I wish that there was something fun to share with you guys.  Another rather dull day, although I'm hoping it doesn't end like yesterday- a bunch of craziness involving COD's.

 

Now, COD stands for cash on delivery, right?  So you'd think that the blasted people would take cash.  But no, FedEx won't take cash for a COD- must be check or money order.

We don't do money orders at the marina.

And no one here this week is authorized to write checks.

So I had to make special arrangements with the FedEx lady to meet her at the closest bank (because there are no convenience stores near by) so that I could buy a money order for her as soon as I got off work.

 

The company sent the package Thursday, so they could have called to let us know that it was on the way, preparing us for a COD delivery.  But that would have been too simple, I suppose.  :P  It was just frustrating, because we all kind of stood here looking at each other going "We know we need the package for a work order, but now what do we do?"

 

Blech.

 

So hopefully, today will pick up a little- but not too much- and with no CODs.

 

Especially since the bank closes early on Wednesdays.
