The backside of a cowboy

There's something about the backside of a cowboy that just "does it" for me.

If you hear a yeee
don't stick around for the haw" ... It's a saying I heard around my house from when my father used to perform in country bars. He always said that you could not trust those crowds when they got rowdy. You might see some equestrian apparel come flying out from nowhere. People might start hogtying and roping things. Drinks could start flying. You just never knew what was going to happen! I have always remembered that...and it's funny that even today when I hear someone go "yeeee-", I jump.

Kansas Gets Revenge
LAWRENCE, Kan. Cole Aldrich scored 12 points and had a career-high 18 rebounds to lead 21st-ranked Kansas to its eighth consecutive victory as the Jayhawks defeated Oklahoma State 78-67 in men’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

The Cowboys defeated Kansas 61-60 in last year's game in Stillwater.

Kansas improved to 19-4 overall and a perfect 8-0 in Big 12 action.  Oklahoma State fell to 14-8 and 3-5 in league play.

Mario Little came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points, while Aldrich, Sherron Collins and Tyshawn Taylor all scored 12 points for Kansas.  Brady Morningstar and Marcus Morris each chipped in nine points, while Morningstar handed out six assists.

Oklahoma State was led by Obi Muonelo, who scored 19 points and Marshall Moses, who added 18.  James Anderson chipped in 10 points and a team-best nine rebounds.

Aldrich hit six of 12 shots from the field and added three blocks as he recorded his 13th double-double of the season.

Little hit a couple of key baskets in each half, as his 13 points were his second most this season behind 15 vs. Texas A&M.  Little started the game making each of his first five attempts before finishing six of eight on the day.

The Jayhawks consistently built their lead throughout the game.  After Oklahoma State pulled within 19-12, Kansas hit back-to-back baskets to lead 24-12 and never led by fewer than double-digits the rest of the way.

Oklahoma State did not score consecutive baskets without a Jayhawk score in between, until there were 11 minutes remaining the game.

Kansas shot 46 percent from the field for the game, while holding Oklahoma State to just 35 percent.  The visiting Cowboys took 50 percent of their shots from three-point range, but hit just 10 of 32 from behind the arc.

Meanwhile Kansas drilled 11 of 23 three-pointers.  The 11 makes were the second most by KU this season behind a 12 of 27 performance against Jackson State.

KU out-rebounded OSU 46-33 as the Jayhawks were never threatened in the game.

Kansas extended the nation’s longest active homecourt winning streak to 37 games.  KU also began league play at 8-0 for the first time since the 2005 team opened Big 12 play 9-0. KU is 102-52 all-time against Oklahoma State.

Kansas will return to action on Monday night playing at Missouri as part of ESPN’s Big Monday television package.  Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.

(no subject)

The Broncos are on a bye week.

New England beat the Cowboys 38-21.

I don't usually like the Cowboys but, I like the Patriots even less so I rooted for the Cowboys.

The major one that seemed to take FOREVER was the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints.  The Saints won 28-17.  It was horrid for the Seahawks but the Saints won their first game this season and it's week 6.  xD

Laura came over for a couple of hours.  We watched Devil Wears Prada....total chick-flick but I loved it!

We watched V for Vendetta......it was all right.  Natalie Portman was pretty good in it.  Although, if she was trying to imitate an Irish accent, she SUCKED at it.

Mom and I are still going through our crap.   I can't help but feel still that we are going to end up in Idaho before the Football season's over.  Speaking of Idaho, Denver needs to get rid of Cutler.  I foresee a worse game than San Diego......gah!

Got a new Plummer jersey! It's orange and navy blue!  I LOVE it!

Denver has GOT to pull out Cutler and bring back Jake or they will lose worse than last season!  GRRR! DAMN YOU BOWLEN!

~BRING BACK JAKE PLUMMER!!!!~ *~316~*
