How To Find and Win Online Contests
frugal mom online contest professional For many reasons the fastest growing demographic on the internet today is freelance moms and frugal shoppers. These people also like contests and internet marketers have learned that contests are a great way to harvest a lot of email addresses and build a benevolent brand.

So the number of online contests available to consumers is way up this summer, and you will soon discover that without a plan of action it can all get very overwhelming.

First you should adopt disposable email addresses, like gmail or hotmail and use the identities to enter contests.

Then create a routine and find a good contest index websites to filter through the old and new business and make it easier to schedule 'contest time' . North of the border, I use All Canada Contests which divides hundreds of web challenges into regions, and also by the prizes offered , like automobiles, electronics, home prizes, travel packages etc

I usually avoid contests with spectacular prizes to enter contests that offer multiple prizes. The odds of winning something are dramatically increased in contests with multiple prizes.  Find contests with ‘prize schedules’ where there’s a quota to be dispensed according to demographics – these benefit the consistent entrant who varies his or her routine.

Make entering contest easier by using downloading and using free form filler software such as RoboForm
There’s a few different systems, but RoboForm lets users rapidly enter repetitive data (name, e-mail, address and phone number) by using their mouse and clicking prefabricated options. This makes the process much easier and builds your chances of success by increasing the amount of contests you can enter in a day.

If you can submit applications to one hundred contests a day, you can enter five hundred contests a week, and that’s two thousand chances a month, and that offers a reasonable chance of something and perhaps making as much as a doctor or an investment banker would have earned in the same amount of time.

It's all in the details

Happy Boxing Day! All right, that's a bit lame (unless you're British, which none of my friends are, that I know of) but I didn't get near a computer over the holiday so I wasn't able to send out any Christmas cheer. (Belatedly, though, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas).

Happy Birthday to Jason, who was 31 on Christmas Eve! I don't consider this belated since I saw him in person and wished him happy. That was, of course, before my sickness set in (yep...sick for Christmas is no fun at all-just ask my mom).

And a rousing thank you to my dear friend Elena (the first blog visitor) who was in town for the holiday and joined me for lunch and chit-chat on Christmas Eve. She gifted me with a new book The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. It is a fabulous read and was chosen by Oprah as her 60th book club selection. For those of you who aren't bothered by Oprah's deciding what the nation should read, this is the best I've found. For those of you, like me, who think Oprah's book club is little better than propaganda and wonder what her cut is, do your best to ignore the seal on the cover; this is a great book.

Also, a big thank you to my parents for the gifts they gave me this Christmas. They were very generous and, frankly, perfect. And props to MOM for the extraordinary prime rib dinner on Christmas Day...yum-yum. Also a thank you to Grandma and Emmy for their presents as well.

What else you say? Hmm, I suppose we need to deal with that contest idea. As it turns out, only one person submitted an idea, which is rather a poor ROI. But, kudos to Jason (not of the Christmas Eve birthday...the one who is my second oldest friend) for submitting the "have a who knows Olivia best quiz" idea. In light of the fact it was the only submission, I am taking the liberty of just declaring him the winner. Which may, in fact, bother some of you who think you know me well, but it's my blog and I get to do whatever I want-so I say Jason wins just for entering. Congratulations JJM!  Now, the idea of having an "all about me" quiz is quite tempting...you all know how much I love that concept, but I think I will save it. My birthday is coming up (only 80 days to go!!!) and I think it would be a great way to celebrate me!

Well that's about all the housekeeping I can handle in one day. Aunt Judy would be the first to tell you that I have never been able to do housekeeping in large doses.

Hope all of you had an awesome holiday and that Santa and his minions were kind and generous. Most of you probably even deserved it.

Win a FREE Copy of The Secret
Several months ago I wrote about a book called The Secret by Rhonda Bryne.  My sister came across the book and loved it so much, she bought me a copy.  The book explains The Law of Attraction.  I've read it several times and decided to give away a copy to a lucky reader.

Would you like to win a FREE copy of The Secret?
Visit my blog Getting Out of Debt and read all the details.  It's very simple and anyone can enter, even those that don't have a blog.  There are about 6 different ways to get an entry worth a total of 8 points.

Good luck and be sure to subscribe to that blog.  I'll be giving away prizes on a weekly basis.  The prizes will increase in value as the weeks go by....

I'm bringing sexy back!

The radio station that I won the Evanescence tickets from, is holding another contest to win a trip to Montreal on the 31st of January to see Justin Timberlake. I am not a huge fan, mind you I would totally goI will NEVER pass up a free trip or a free concert!

As many of you may, or may not know, he has a song that goes something like this:

            "I'm Bringing Sexy Back .... "

Well this contest is to "wax that sexy back". You have to write in, in 150 words or less, about your man, why he needs to have his back waxed, etc. They will choose a winner. Then the winner will have their man's back waxed LIVE on the radio!

I am ALL OVER this one!

Stay tuned!
