Something legitimate that you can get for FREE?
Nothing in the world is free. Except for maybe attacks by stray and violent cougars. WHY HAVEN'T WE HUNTED THEM AND WOLVES INTO EXTINCTION YET?
GratisNetworks does indeed give away things like iPods and Flat Screen TV's, among any other thing that you could possibly want. Since what it requires is you and 5 friends to sign up for some offer, many times it is never completed.
In comes "Conga Lines"
Some websites have Conga Lines set up, where you get together with a bunch of people, and rotate a list so everyone is referring everyone else, and everyone gets free iPod's, and is happy for it, and after you have an iPod, you will be more attractive to the opposite sex, get that promotion you have been waiting for, and your dog might even begin to respect you.
It's simple. Set up a new email address on Yahoo. Then you click a link like THIS and proceed to fill out the information required. The hard part comes with signing up for a new offer, which I decided on a credit card from Bank of America. So basically once it comes and I get approved for it, I'll just cut it up and throw it away without ever activating it.
Mindsay would seem to provide the perfect opportunity to set up a Conga line, where everyone could take turns getting free stuff. I know Brad (http://brad.mindsay.com) already got his free iPod long before my slow ass got around to it, so he can attest to it.
If you're all interested, perhaps we can come up with something on http://conga.mindsay.com (which is untaken so far) and set up a conga line in order to refer each other. Basically you'd click a link like I have listed above (my shameful self promotion of my referall link) and once person 1 has the 5 referrals, the next person in list moves up to that spot and gets the referrals from those who sign up.
Update - I registered Conga.
