I Feel Like Helping
Back when I was in college, I was involved with a group that did community service.  Though I didn't have a lot of free time, I felt compelled to help others, and I joined and actively participated in the group.  And I really liked it.  I felt good, knowing that I was helping other people.

I miss that feeling.  It's been a couple years since I've taken time out of my life to help someone else.  I can easily donate some of my time on a Saturday or Sunday, and yet I haven't.  It's rather sad.

I've decided, though, that I'm going to commit to helping again.  In a city as big as this, I'm sure there must be loads of opportunities.  I just need to find something that's right.  Perhaps Habitat for Humanity, or something like that.  After work I'll take a look around and see what I can come up with.  :)

No more crimes for me!
Well, after many days of tedious, extremely boring work, I finally finished my community service, and am happy to report that I can now enjoy myself a little more before I am carted off to some new event...

Yeah!
I'm so happy, I got an 80 on the math test.
However, I got 16 hours of community service for my law breakage, which sucks, but it could've been a lot worse.

Cheers,

BMG's un-Gothic Sweet Song of the Week: "Sweet Toxic Love" by Boy George

Boy George does his duty and it makes news. I think this is the most public community service aired on the news in a long time. Or, most likely, it's more of a publicity stunt for Manhattan's Department of Sanitation!  You be the judge.
In honor of Boy George hoofing it on the streets this week, we take a break from our regularly scheduled gothicness to bring you this special song:

Sweet Toxic Love by Boy George

9:37 log in.
Community service tomorrow. So not looking forward to it. But eh. Whatever. My life's a complete bore. I don't have anything to blog about, and I haven't updated my Livejournal in about two months. Wow!
