Deliverence unfold...
The distant bells are ringing,
In a small town in my soul
Dream up, dream up...

Strange it is that today I find that I wish that my PDA was still operational, but not because that it had more functions than my Palmtop PC. I find myself longing for colours to gaze upon, bright and joyous colours of the rainbow, and not the gray-scale hues of this ancient piece of technology that was only made operational due to the fact that my PDA was no longer. Interesting it is that something as simple as colour brought so much joy to my bleak hours of typing. One day I will purchase another PDA and again enjoy all the colours that my senses can perceive, but for the time being I must be satisfied with the various shades of gray that I see before me at this moment...

It is just interesting to think that something as insignificant as colour would be missed of all the things that my technological devices possess. And stranger still is the fact that my first computer had a monochrome monitor and I spent so much time using it, so very much time, so very long ago. My devices and I have come so very far from where we began this journey though for the sake of portability I have taken a step back along this path. Though I wonder if I had an unlimited stream of capital, would I have taken this step back in time? Would I be missing the colours of life at this very moment or would I be enjoying millions of shades of every colour that can be seen with the unaided eye? These things I wonder about as I sit here reflecting upon the technology that has brought me to this point in my life...

And I also wonder how my life would be different if I had never discovered that my comprehension of technology is adequate enough to allow me to take devices that must would have cast aside long ago and turn them into functioning pieces of equipment that I can use for my own benefit. How would I be different if I still used and pen and paper to visually express my vision of my world? I wonder...

And so I shall wonder about the impact of technology upon my life and all the while miss the fact that I do not have colour at this time, and yet I shall have much joy in the fact that more will read this than if I had written with pen and paper. So much is in my brain and this is a very good thing that I shall rejoice in...

This is the Word of the AntiCrust...

Praise be ye who Read the Word for ye are Blessed amongst humans...

Blog hosts, usernames and special dates!
So, my first blog entry. One of what will hopefully be many! I'm going to be using this blog to share my random ramblings, musings, rants and so forth. I may also post my lyrics or short stories here too.

I've been looking for a good blog host for about a week now. I had initially signed up for Livejournal, but I realized that it had far more settings than I needed. So, I abandoned my Livejournal account and set off in search of a more simple blog. I decided to try Blogger, but I didn't like any of the templates, and when I tried to modify it, it continually played up. So I found My.Opera. Which looked great. Until I tried to put my own header in. The CSS just wouldn't work for me - I swear, that language is evil. It's conspiring against me. It's going to strike when I least expect it. Anyway, after signing up for goodness knows how many other blog hosts, each one of which failed to meet my standards (which, to be perfectly fair, weren't exactly sky-high), I finally found Mindsay. I scouted around the site a bit and it seems to meet every single one of my needs and wants! So, that's how I got here...I told you this was going to be random :).

My username, My Own Eternity, comes from the song "Before The Chance To Leave" by Motion In Colour. The four lines in my header are the lyrics from that song that always seem to grab me. My blog name, Out Of The Blue, wasn't really inspired by anything in particular, it just seemed to fit with both the design of the header and the sheer randomosity of this blog.

I don't have much to say now...just a few dates I don't want to forget:
31st January - Elliot Minor at Wrexham. Gutted we missed the signing, but the gig was awesome! Bought myself a signed poster and hoodie (the hoodie wasn't signed though)!
6th April - Showtime! at Wolverhampton. First time seeing Daniel Boys live; he was amazing, of course! And so was Kerry Ellis, but I wouldn't have expected any less from her! I found out about some really good West End performers, namely Ramin Kairimloo, Chris Key and Rebecca Lock. The students weren't good at all - I know they're only young, but if they want to go into the West End, they're going to have to be a million times better than they were. And the sound guy should have been shot. It's one thing to get the kids' mics wrong, but the pros as well? Off with his head!
12th April - Elliot Minor's album arrived in the post, and it was one of the first 500 to be shipped, which means it's signed! So now I have their autographs twice :), but I haven't met them once :(.

'Til next time, then,
Take care!

Chakras and their colors, (found at clipmarks)
The garden can provide much of the colour stimulation and therapy that we human spirits crave and need!

The Seven Main Chakras and Seven Chakra Colours
There are seven main energy centres (chakras) of the body. These chakras are like spirals of energy, each one relating to the others. Using the seven colours of the spectrum, Colour Therapy aims to balance and enhance our body's energy centres/chakras and also to help stimulate our body's own healing process. Colour Therapy uses colour to re-balance the Chakras that have become depleted of energy.

Just like a rainbow, we're part of the spectrum in life's colours!

More Blooms from the garden To Share
There was a nice surprise the other day in the garden; the first opened peony bloom, and it's a beauty!

I'm quite fond of our peonies, they're a bit old fashioned but then most of the perennials in my garden are old fashioned "english country garden" types of plants and they are a constant surprise and delight as they take their turns in the limelight. Tomorrow I'll be back with some additional shots, some of lilac I managed to capture the other day and some shots of Osprey that live near Guelph Lake. See you then!

(In the meantime - stop by my personal blog at imcheryl for a view of  May's blue moon. Well... really it's red but that's just the atmosphere providing a cool filter! Do check it out!)

Aquarium day
Had a great time catching up with Jestar, Nimbo, Darkfox and Cemil, all TAFE friends. We went to the Aquarium on Thursday morning before I had class. Thanks muchly to Jestar who organised it all.

I'd already seen the Aquarium in January, but it was a good activity to do again. The fish are very bright and colourful.

We had lunch in the city in which I had to rush off early to my Business Computing tutorial, then lecture, then anime club. Yep I've already started the assignment, but I've forgotten how to import excel documents on Access... woops. I'll figure it out soon enough. It's been a whole term since I've done Access... I'm doing this from memory.

Nimbo, Jestar, or Darkfox would have to fill in the rest of the day's blanks. As I didn't go on the shopping spree. :| awwww... That's where Uni can be annoying.
