Collaborate @ MindSay
For those who are rediscovering us, WELCOME BACK. It took us a couple of years, but we are back. Yay!
For those who are visiting for the first time, you are in for a treat! This blog is the collaborative effort of both Cas & Andreux of MindSay fame. Or notoriety. They kinda mean the same thing anyway, so just go with one or the other. (We totally shall conquer) -- if needed, have a gander at some past entries on this blog. They will give you a peek at the zany updates that you should expect.
Please excuse the mess though, guys. I mean, for goodness sake, it is our first day back. We need to clean up & make images & whatnot. Aside from disclaimers, we are glad that you could make it! Please come back soon 'cause we promise excellent & entertaining blog posts in here =)
Yours truly,
Andreux, the better half
Hello,
My name is Michiele my friends call me Puff, which is a childhood nick name. I joined this site to meet down to earth people and to collaborate with individuals in the music industry if possible. I'm a struggling songwriter willing to collab. with individuals who are willing to be a team or are serious about what they love a I hope one of those things is music/writing songs. I have three beautiful grandchildren whom I love with all of my heart and soul. I would love to pursue this goal especially, before I leave this crazy world, this goal is a dream I have had since I was a young girl and I promised myself that I wouldn't let nothing or nobody discourage me from following my dreams and pursuing my goals. It has definitley been a challenging quest so far, but not enough to make me give up. God is my strength, I leave it all up to him to guide and comfort me thoughout this journey of my life.
I have or shall I say lupus is a part of my life now, it attack me in the later 1990's, if anyone can relate or have family or friends who have it also, you are welcome too. I really need support from caring people who understand what I am going through or has the patience to get to know me for me. I believe that laughter is the best medicine, I'd love to accompany myself with comedian type people or just people who know how to have fun, who's not afraid to be silly sometimes or/and definitely not negative. Please NO NEGATIVE PEOPLE. Stress seems to be my worst enemy I try my best to stay away from it.
While lounging around in bed this morning, I showed Chilly that I could slow down and speed up my heart by thinking about it.
Chilly: That's a super power. We'll call you the Heartbeater! Think of all the ways you could use it!
Me (in a nasal-y voice): Ma'am. This is your grocery bill total. *dieing sound, sort of like "ungkk"* Oh no! Guess we better load the groceries into her car...
Chilly: What's that? You're looking at big screen televisions?
Me: *Ungkk*
One good exchange leads to another... specifically Creativity Exchange, Season 2, Week Three.
Below you will read TheRacket's wonderful haiku with my photographic response. I had so much fun with this one. And if I may suggest, please read the haiku outloud. It flourishes on the tongue. Go here (link to come) to see the other collaboration.

Hey, all. Someone near me has Ralph's Nelson's (the Simpsons bully) "HA-ha" as their ring tone. Still not as cool as the Harry Potter-theme ringtone, but close.
Today is Friday. Most of us are pretty excited that we're so close to the weekend. For me, I like Friday's because I get to show my response to TheRacket's Creativity Exchange (Season 2), and because Friday nights are when we produce our internet radio talk show, WTF Radio. (You can answer tonight's Questions of the Week, if you haven't already.) ((TheRacket's half to be featured here as it's made available.)) (((Paths4Byzantium and AAP have their own CE going on as well.)))
Creativity Exchange has been a great artistic exercise tool. For this second season of CE, if I respond with something visual, I've only allowed myself to respond with photography. It helps push me into exploring my responses a little more, and this has too be a good thing. Though I wonder sometimes if by broadening my horizons, I'm not stretching out a balloon or a pair of jeans so that they never quite hold the same shape again... but enough downers, onto CE2, Week 9 (words by TheRacket, photo by me):

About Creativity Exchange
TheRacket had a brilliant (and fun) idea. He asked me if I would be interesting in a Creativity Exchange (those are my capitalization, hence, I'm naming it. So, there). It's almost like a short game of tag; he will write or I will draw and we would exchange what we created to the other. There are no hard and fast rules; one person creates something and the other collaborates. He could sketch and I could write, I could take a picture and he write a haiku, he could write a ballad and I illustrate a passage... we're making it up as we go along. The best kind of game, really.
Creativity Exchange Timeline
- Monday &/or Tuesday we work on creating something for the other.
- Wednesday we exchange the pieces secretly.
- Thursday we work on our responding pieces.
- Friday we display them.
Layer Cake Exchange Timeline
Similar to the above exchange, this one adds one more step.
- Monday we secretly exchange our first pieces (Part I) so that only the other can see.
- Wednesday we secretly reveal our responses (Part II), which are responding to the other's Part I.
- We each prepare a response that ties in with the respective Part II, trying to forget about our own original piece that inspired it.
- Friday we publicly reveal our responses to Part II thereby creating a Part III.
- The end product is two separate exchanges, using an original work to inspire a response. Then that response inspires a following response. Techinically, this type of creativity exchange could go on for a long time.
