The Birth Of My New Tattoo .....
It's picture time ...... I'm very very happy and pleased with my new tattoo. It turned out better than I imagined .... pictures of the final product really aren't that hot but will retake later when healing is through.
So here we go ....
It took awhile to get going .... this guy is about as laid back as any I've seen. He one heck of a nice guy and a great tattoo artist .... but .... s l o w .... to get started which left me with plenty of opportunity to go through some tattoo magazines. There is some pretty bizarre shit out there .....
Prepped and waiting for stencil .... it was very cold in this place .... burrr .... but once he started I really didn't notice.
The stencil in place .....
Let the pain .... oh I mean fun ..... BEGIN!
Working on the outline .....
Finished outline ....
Adding color .....
The finished tattoo .... not the best picture as I said before .... the red spots are blood .... gone now .... it's beautiful ..... it really is!
Izzy and me ..... when it was over. I look disgusting here .... ****puke****
And that was my day .... except for a break in the diet for a chicken tostado and a couple margaritas ....
As said before I will take a better photo once it is all healed. Right now it kinda feels like someone keep rubbing sandpaper on my shoulder.
I am one happy girl ..... thanks cllecr for giving me what I needed. This tattoo represents so much ..... one thing in that list is a friendship ..... a friendship that was born through Mindsay and will hopefully last a long long time. Cheers!
Much peace and love .... enjoy your weekend ....

Geocaching Saves Lives
Well .... sort of ....
Our local news out of Medford reported tonight that some folks out lost in the snow found a box that happened to be a geocache. On that box were the coordinates written to where they were. They were able to call out and give the search and rescue people those coordinates and were found shortly thereafter.
I wonder if they put it back properly where it belongs ????
So .... I have made a decision for the memorial tattoo. I will have it done this spring once we have a steady income again. But for the time being ..... I really had this dragonfly idea in my head and it just wouldn't let go. But I wanted something special .... blueeyedtawni and cllecr had both come up with some awesome suggestions and up until this morning I've been thinking of a design to go with. Then I looked over at my little filing cabinet next to the computer and there sat my answer.
I'm thinking cllecr may recognize this .... I love it .... and the design is perfect. It has been emailed (like that is really going to help) to the tattoo dude and I am waiting for an answer ....
That's it .... night all.
Peace. J.

A Fun Mail Day
Thank you cllecr for brightening up my day ....
I love the geocoin ..... it is just awesome .... and the other goodies too .....
I smiled big with the HUGS stone .... the bell brought a tear .... I can't wait to sip the hot chocolate in front of the fire with Dave .... and then the coin .... it's beautiful!
I'll make sure that your coin (which I just love) gets a good start on its way. I'll try to find a very special spot .... and the CD will get placed in the Otto cache before the end of the week. People really seem to enjoy that cache a lot.
I've been having one of those down days ... feeling kind of hopeless ... this just helped me see a positive light again and gave me a goal .... I'm going caching this week come hell or high water.
***fingers crossed the weather holds***
It has been brutally cold here. Would love to see it warm up some. Stitches come out at 2:00 today .... so guess I should go eat and get ready to go. Then home and start on my last scarf for tawni .... then all I have left to do is fringe the scarves and they are on their way .... so hang in there girl!
I just remembered something I needed to do this morning .... sometimes my head is up my butt .... maybe post it notes stuck everywhere would be the answer .... lol

My Visit With Cllecr ..... Thanks For The Memories !
WOW!
cllecr and her hubby left about an hour ago now and I'm taking this time to think back and share some of our visit ..... first of all it was awesome!
They pulled in right around 7:15 p.m. on Sunday evening. As soon as cllecr and her hubby were out of the vehicle we greeted each other with a big hug and big smiles.
They had phoned about two hours before arrival and told them we'd have dinner waiting. Dave got busy BBQ'ing chicken, fresh zucchini and garlic bread. He'd made some delicious potato salad earlier in the day. Cut up some cantaloupe ..... opened a bottle of Merlot to let it breathe.
They're timing was perfect .... just enough time before dinner was ready to enjoy some conversation and a glass of wine as well as a tour through the yard. They met all the critters ..... and I do mean all of them. We then sat down and enjoyed a good meal with more wine, more fun and good conversation. We stayed up till almost midnight out on the deck and then went to sleep ..... resting up for the day ahead.
After breakfast we loaded up and took off to do some caching together. The hubby's got along well and had no trouble teasing the two of us about our caching .... but they enjoyed it as much as us. I first took her to two of my hides on the way over to Yreka. From there we went to visit John Otto's grave site in an old cemetery in Yreka. After getting permission from the folks that run the cemetery Cllecr also hid a cache in John Otto's honor there at the cemetery. For those that don't know who John Otto is (I admit I didn't before I met Cllecr) there is a earlier post in my blog archive. And I also believe she has a post dedicated to him in her blog site as well. Anyway .... from there we went hunting and had some success and three no finds.
They took us out to dinner at a great Mexican food restaurant and after two more hunts (two of our three no finds) ..... we headed home and back to the deck ...... for more relaxing and visiting. We made it to bed around 11:00 or so and slept in this morning. After breakfast and a little more visiting .... they loaded up and are heading on their way home. I was teary eyed to see them go. Very cool people.
I don't think I could have asked for a more pleasant visit. Cllecr is just amazing as is her hubby. The whole visit felt like we had truly known each other forever and was full of fun and laughter. I hope that Dave and I have a chance to accept their invitation and go visit them in Grand Junction, CO., and they know they are always welcome back here.
Cllecr signing the log at my Buck Bridge cache. I'm just kicking it on the rock.
Cllecr finding my West Water cache.
Cllecr and I signing the log at the "Famous Yreka" cache.
Plaque at the cache site.
Cllecr's hubby, Cllecr and me. Now it was about 92 degrees and it was humid. I had broken my sunglasses right off the get go that morning and between the sun and the sweat pouring into my eyes making them burn like heck ..... I look like shit here .... other than that it is a great photo. We also found a cache here called "Yreka's Covered Bridge".
Taking a break and signing the log at the "Terrace Drive Overlook" cache. Although it was only one tenth of a mile to this cache from the road ..... it was straight up a steep rocky hillside. The cache was a welcome site when we saw it was under a very nice big shade tree. From here we could look down on Yreka and the surrounding area behind us.
The view from the cache. It was beautiful except the top of Mt. Shasta was covered in clouds the whole day never peaking out her head. So I hope they had a chance to see her today on their way out.
A whole lotta geese at Greenhorn park. We headed up to a get a cache here after dinner and drinks .... and after walking quite a ways and realizing that we had a ways to go ..... we came back ..... ready to relax and call it a day.
John Otto's grave site in Yreka.
Well .... that's it for the photos. Cllecr wanted to make sure I said hello to everyone since it will be a few more days before they are home and she will be posting anything. So ...... a big "HELLO" ...... from Cllecr!
This was one of the very best highlights to my year so far. I am very lucky to have had this opportunity! Thanks to you Carol and S. for stopping by and visiting ..... It was great!
Peace. J.
