Climbing Tower @ MindSay

Finally a blog!!!

Hey there all my blog fans!   Thought I'd take a moment and do a bit of a blog since I haven't been blogging for awhile.  Camp life has been busy, busy, busy!  Needless to say, I have been enjoying it tremendously :)  It has been good to see the boys cabins being used this summer.  There was a bit of a 'dry' spell in that cabin area the past couple of years, but no this year!

We've got a climbing tower out here now, so I've been on it quite a bit and have been belaying many a camper and sending many a camper off the zip line.  It's a lot of fun!

Last week we had a number of the staff doing activities at night and a good number of them wanted to try the climb and zip, so we spent a good number of hours there.  Leila and I climbed "Everest' for our second times.  It was much easier the second time around.  Paul also tried Everest again and this time 'conquered' it.  Way to go Paul!!  So far we are the only 3 staff to make it to the top of that side.

I went to First Baptist Church on Sunday to see all the Dorion Bible Camp people there.  Seems that Camp Dorion was the music for that day, so it was fun to see them all in action.  They did a great job and the songs were very fitting with the message.  Good job guys!

This past weekend I ate meat - and los of it!!!  Yum!

Well, that's it for now - I'm not sure when I'll blog next, since summer time is pretty busy for me here at Camp Dorion, but keep checking in to see what's new.  Even feel free to say "hello' if you like.

And, if any of you are interested, Dorion Bible Camp has a slightly updated web page.  you should check it out at www.campdorion.com.

Thanks for visiting

GPS ENDS!!!

Wow!!!  where did that week go?  It seems like just yesterday that this week just started, and here it is the final night and campers leave tomorrow. So much for almost daily blogs this week.

This was a good week here at camp.  The kids seemed to have a great time and all were still alive at the end of the week  :)

Yet another has conquered Everest, and many a camper enjoyed the thrill of the zip line and screams were heard from afar.  Rockets zoomed into the sky, paintballs were heard whizzing by, no one got an arrow in their eye, the paint on the crafts is now dry, the kub kars did a drive by, and yet for desert there was no pie.  For this you may ask , 'Why?"  Well the answer is simple - because there were so many other tasty things for deserts :)

Next week is the Big 4 F....see you then!

Tower's almost done.

The tower should be done today.  Had a good time climbing and zipping today.  Paul went on the zip line with the video camera, so there should be some cool footage there.  There are some cool pics on the website now so if anyone wants to check them out...  www.campdorion.com

Oh yah...I saw a bat today.  It was very bright and hot out and there's this bat flying over my head.  Kind of made me realize at how awesome God is.
