Christmas Presents @ MindSay

Woot!!

Got to spend Christmas night and most of yesterday with Nick. After a somewhat trying day with my family. Woke up with a migraine and didn't really feel up to dealing with the little-kid part of Christmas (running around and screaming about Christmas and presents and food and PRESENTS!!!), but I got through that part alive. We opened presents (I got spoiled, by the way), had breakfast. I went on a walk (mostly so I could smoke a cigarette, but...shh!! lol), ordered stuff with my gift card (I SCORED, by the way...got an entire outfit--minus undergarments, jewelry, and shoes, but I don't really count that as "part of a new outfit"--all for like...55 bucks. Normally would have been like...$100+, but thank you Christmas day deals and free shipping!!), helped my nephew put music on his iPod, and just...relaxed for a bit. Then we went over to my aunt and uncle's for Christmas "dinner". (Tangent Rant: Why are holiday "dinners" always served at like...3 in the afternoon? Screws up my eating schedule. Because you have to eat breakfast like...3 hours before I'm usually even awake, and then dinner is served closer to lunch time, so you have to skip lunch. And then dessert is served like...the time dinner is supposed to be served. And then I'm hungry again before I go to bed. What is that?! *end tangent rant*) Hung out there for a while, but my head was KILLING me, so I went home before dessert. And then Mom and I just hung out for a while. She went to bed, and I was up still. Feeling lonely because I was supposed to hang with Laura, but she was too tired. Bah!

ANYWAY. Nick texted me later, and he came and picked me up. Gave him part of his Christmas presents (the other part has to wait til I have money again), and we hung out for the night. It was nice. Just a quiet night/wee hours of the morning with one of my favorite people. He wants to take me to Thai food (which I've never had) for my Christmas present. I'm kind of excited. So we just...hung out yesterday morning/afternoon. Spent a good hour looking for the episode of Supernatural we haven't been able to finish because silly me, I left my computer at home and he doesn't have a DVD player anymore and his computer doesn't read CD's. So Addison came and we walked down to the comic book store (have I mentioned I'm dating a geek? I love it. :) He role plays, reads comic books, plays lots of video games...I love it. Always been a sucker for a geek.) and then two book stores before I walked with him (Nick) to work. Simple stuff, but very satisfying.

But alas. Today, it's back to normal life. Work at 930, off at 2. Gotta call and see about fencing prices for the fence I went through with the 4Runner. Then going to Dany's to hang with him and Sonya, maybe have une petite boume (little party), getting my monroe pierced...Yeah. Just...quiet stuff. Takin' it easy.

Christmas to do

I'm following one of my friends and am making a list of the Christmas presents I need to make, not buy just make.

Brady-->50% done

Donna--> I'm going to guess about 60%

Bill-->not started.  Just came up with the idea today, but will be quick knit.

Billy-->same as Bill

Whitney-->Done

I think I can get done by christmas.  I only worry about Brady's because I usually can't work on it when I am at home.

Roger Has Two Cows...
Roger has two cows.
Though both cows are fairly "up-to-date", one cow is a year older than the other cow, having recently been purchased during Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving; the "busiest shopping day of the year"). He claims the new cow to be a so-called "Christmas Present", Then he uses the new cow, likes it's performance, and claims ownership of it. Nearing Christmas time, he would offer the old cow to either a family member, girlfriend, or a friend, to accept the older cow for a Christmas gift by saying "Here you go, the old cow, Merry Christmas!"

I'm a cheap ass. *cries*

(no subject)
Okay, so I finally decided on what to do for Christmas presents and who to do them for.

For Hubby I'm do a transformers hat
MIL wants a scarf
and so does BIL's girlfriend

And I realized during my morning class that there is only 45 days until Christmas! So  I pray that I can get  stuff done in a  reasonable amount of time.

In other news I got my flu shot yesterday, yay for me getting a shot!  Thankfully I, and hubby, did not get sick as a result.  So, heres to making it through the winter without getting terribly sick (not from the flu anyways).

Wow...I had this great blog laid out in my mind this morning, but I'm so awake and moving right now that I can't seem to organize my thoughts properly.  I just want to summarize and get on with it.  Oh well, maybe I'll remember how I wanted it and come back and edit later.  Looks like I have to come back later anyways to link the projects I want to do for people.  Ravelry is down.  How sad. :-(
