Christmas Eve @ MindSay

Oh the joys of Christmas time
Christmas is supposed to be a fun holiday, full of happiness and cheer, but this year I'm honestly just not feeling it. It's Christmas Eve, and even then, I don't feel any of the spirit. I hope tonight will be better though, although my family is out of town. I'm just spending time with my mom, my dad, my sister, and a few Jewish friends who have nothing else to do on Christmas Eve. :P (Melissa and Rachel). I haven't made an entry lately just because I get home so tired every night I just don't feel like sitting down and collecting my thoughts, I really need to get back into this blogging deal, and more regularly, that's going to be one of my resolutions for the new year to consistently write down my thoughts on this blog.

Lately since I've come back from Georgia Tech, I've been hanging around home during the day and going out at night time, but now that it's closer to the holiday my mom has been off of work. We went out shopping a few days ago for clothing, since she kept telling me about how I hadn't asked for anything for Christmas. I am going to get some nice new clothing for Christmas, which I could always use, so I'm pretty thankful.

Besides that I've been hanging out with some friends too, I've been becoming really close with one of my friends Natasha, and she's a fantastic friend. She knows how to cheer me up when I'm bummed out, and she's really fun to talk with. Danny has been busy as ever with work, so we haven't hung out all too much, but we really need to get on that. Hopefully we'll both have a day off of work, and we can hang out. Besides that I've just seen some old buddies I haven't seen in a long while, and I really need to see more of them.

Christmas is supposed to be a happy holiday, and while I haven't been entirely sad at any given point, I've had my ups and downs, but for the majority of the time I've been very, very happy. I don't know why I haven't been keeping the spirit, but hopefully with everything that happens in the upcoming hours I'll feel the spirit more.

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Hi! I'm blogging from a strip-mall parking lot.

Before this though, I watched "Bernice Gets Her Hair Bobbed" which is in no way related to Christmas, on netflix instant. It had Bud Cort in it. :D

I'm in a very cheery mood now...

Hopefully, you all will have a lovely Christmas Eve and all sorts of other lovely Holidays that you may or may not choose to celebrate too!!!

(My, I've got the all-inclusive thing down!)

Christmas Eve = Scary

I just want to preface this by saying that things like this ONLY happen to me.

So last night, my best friend Erica came up because her job SUCKS and they had her working until 3, and expect her at work tomorrow at 7am and she couldn't go all the way home.  So she had Christmas here with me and my parents, which was nice.  And she's one of my few friends who have been up here, so she knows the town a LITTLE, and she wanted to see the damage the fire caused a  few days ago since I made her GO to places like the Coffee Roasters which is now just a giant hole in the center of town.

So we walk, and as expected, at 6pm on Christmas Eve, every single store is closed.  It was COLD out, but it wasn't windy like in New York, so I was like 'hey, let's check out the side streets for lights/see where  my boss lives' since I knew the # of his house, but not which house was his.  Walk down his block, see his house, all is good.  We could have walked back up the same block, but where's the fun in that?  So we turned passed the Post Office, and we walked up the block.  Great.

So a little ahead of us in the snow, a red light flashes - like a car's tail light.  Doesn't really register.  Especially since there was a car pulling into a driveway across the street.  Keep walking, the light flashes again.  So now, I ask Erica if she saw 'the weird red Christmas light that is somehow flashing in the snow bank' and she says yes, she saw it, too.  Still not too weird, though I can't see where it's coming from.  We continue walking, several houses up from where the light came from.

There it is, again.  A foot in front of us, in the snow.  Someone in a house on the street was following us with a laser pointer (or scope of a sniper rifle, who knows).  I know, many a worse thing has happened; but how friggin' creepy is that?  I mean, odds are, it was a 14 year old who got a laser pointer for Christmas; hell, it was PROBABLY somehow one of the kids who was in my group this summer.  But it really freaked us out.

Where the hell do we live?
