And now, I feel completely justified that I went on for SIX PAGES this weekend about 'Chris would do better, have confidence, and finally learn to read if he was in a classroom where kids didn't beat him up and make him feel terrible all the time'.
I hate that I'm NOT Superwoman; that I am acutally pretty powerless to save my kids from these terrible situations. That I will compliment them to no end, and then they go home and have a mother who calls them stupid. That William can write a poem with the line '4 sisters and a brother who is up in heaven' and that the brother's suicide anniversary is right about now, or that one of my boys hasn't been seen in 2 weeks because he has to be on medication to rid him of the skin disease he contracted from not bathing...
I wish people would stop reading People Magazine and wasting money on designer clothes and instead help fix the school systems. To stop and think about what is REALLY important in life.
Today was Mikko's 18th birthday^_^ :D it was alot of fun. Today started out with Chris's mom calling me at 11am ish telling me the plans for later on (will get to this later on). I then got up and called mikko, and told him I'd call in an hour for him to come over. So, then i got some breakfast, and hurried to finish the scrapbook. Once i was done, i called him up. After he called me, cole then asked if she could come over, and she did. before mikko came over, i grabbed a slab of cake my mom had made the other day, stuck some candles in it, and waited for mikko and cole to arrive. Cole arrived first, and mikko came moments later. before he entered my room, cole made him stop in the hallway so i could light the candles:P once they were lit I sang happy birthday and he blew them out:P for an hour or so the 3 of us just hung out, ate cake, and i gave mikko his present^_^
at about 3:30, cole left to cassy's. Mikko and I couldn't go over to chris's yet, so we just kinda cuddled and such. he wanted to leave at 4:30, but i made sure we didn't leave till after 5, because that's when everything would be ready at chris's. Once we got to chris's, we (samara, kyle, mitch, chris, chris's mom and I) all shouted surprise and sung happy birthday. Then we had pizza, and saved the cake for later.
About an hour later at 6, we went to the movies and saw Never back down, which was good. we had an hour and a half we had to waste before the movie, but that's okay. We all got back at chris's at 10:20, and I left around 11, and now I am at home:P
So in all it was a really good day. He liked the scrapbook, as did everyone that saw it^_^ And I promise i will add the pictures of it on in a few days for everyone to see.
anyways, im kinda tired, so off to bed with me. Nighty night.

I think this is one of the few things about middle school I can happily reminisce about. I miss my friends from back then, if nothing else. But I really miss walks home with Chris, our games, the unfinished animal sounds, Lily's trees, my real flowers...
In other news, there are going to be 2 weeks of ballet missed, thanks to NYU spring break and then Easter, and then she's going to be in a wedding in Chicago April 6th, so that's 3 less classes this semester, and I could really use them. Dang. I guess I'll just have to practice in my room like I always do : ).

My overall progress through Youtube has continued to be positive with a lift in subscribers again to 376. It wont be long until it spills over the 400 mark.
There have been 103,970 viewings of all of my videos to date.
There have also been 9,500 channel views, which is also steadily on the increase. So the 10k tarket is not too far away now :)
And for my next post. I was asked to do it by a great guy on Youtube. It's me singing a cover version of a song about the loss of a friend. I changed the music, to try and enhance the relevance.
