Ah Sid ... I love it when a plan comes together, hmmm?  ;)  While I'm NOT a huge hockey fan usually, these guys won my support with their tenacity and resilliance.  I actually watched most of the playoff games!  Admittedly, there were a couple I had to walk away and find something else to do hahaha!

It just so happened that the Pittsburgh Pirates (who aren't doing half bad this year, surprisedly) were at home playing ... Detroit! this weekend, so our newly crowned Champs brought their little Trophy over to share with the crowd!

Sunday blues...

Hey all...

Well, it seems that today is going to be such a nice day and I am stuck here at work.  Darn!  Not only am I going to miss out on a wonderful morning, but I am not going to be able to sneak down to the ball park this afternoon for the "Parade of Champions".  That's right...the "Parade of Champions" for the World Series Champs St. Louis Cardinals.  Yehaw!!!!

Darn work!

Alright - One Last STEELER Post

Right now, as I am typing this, there are over 100,000 people swarming the city of Pittsburgh in celebration and 2 of my kids are there.  A waste of time?  For some, sure ... But let me ask you this ... Is anything that can unite a population this large, across religious differencies, across racial lines, across socio-economic stratus a waste?  It is a phenomenon I've never witnessed.  "More than just a team, it's a way of life!"  Right now, we are one people, united in the black & gold, and I think it's a GREAT thing!  :D  Like I said before, football has become our identity, and I don't think that's  bad thing.

"Who day?  WE day!"  ;)

Well ... The Steelers Did it!

Well ... Whew!  I'm glad it's finally over ... except that means the season is over too, and that's not good.  It does mean, however, that life can regain some semblence of normalcy again.  Being a Steeler fan is exhausting!  ;)

Pittsburgh needed this win.  The city is struggling both financially and well ... as I said before, the city is looking for a new identity since the steel mills are no longer.  Life is hard here ... the economy is recovering slowly ... we are a blue collar city.  Football is our #1 diversion on any level - pee wees through high school, college to the Steelers.  Ahhh well ... now back to our regularly scheduled  ... life.  :)

Thanks
STEELER ~ CHAMPS!
