This person who shall remain nameless (okay, it's
msbenefit), for a period of eight days beginning today, will own all of the breadstuffs, veggie burgers and Cheerios in our home. That's right.
Own. Part of the Passover tradition is to get rid of all of the
Chametz in one's home (
Chametz being the stuff one can't eat on Passover). If you can't get rid of it, however, you sell it to someone who isn't Jewish. And after eight days, it's sold back to you at the same price.
So -- if
msbenefit so desires, she can hop on down from Halifax one of these days and grab a snack from our cabinet. She's entitled to it.
