Certificate @ MindSay
I then ran into the mother of a girl I used to go to high school with. My mom bumped into her yesterday and told me that the girl had cancer, last September, she had a tumour on one of her ovaries, so they removed it and her fallopian tube. She's now pregnant. With twins. Talk about WOW!! She's in the hospital at the moment, not doing so well. Her mom said I should go in and see her...I dunno though. We haven't seen each other in a long time and it was a case of we simply stopped being friends. I do hope she's going to be ok though, that's rough.
After that I had to go into town to Register House to get a copy of my birth certificate. We lost mine. Again. So I did that. The reason I need my birth certificate is because yesterday I was at another agency and they were very optimistic that they'd be able to place me somewhere in a couple weeks. I have to fill out a disclosure form before they can do this. I would've done it yesterday but I needed my birth certificate. So now I can do that.
I came home, called about my laptop being broken, they're coming to pick that up and take it away for repairs. It'll be gone for 7-10 days :( I'm sorry, I know I'm moderately pathetic and lifeless, but how am I supposed to be internetless for 10 days? It's just not very feasable. They're coming next Wednesday.
Then I got a phonecall from yet another agency asking me to come in next week to register and do their computer tests and all that jazz. For a job at the SQA (google it if you want, I'm too lazy to explain), that's only temporary until the end of July though so...hrm...not sure.
So yeh, that was my day...I know it seems moderately pathetic, but when I'm able to accomplish the things I did today, getting the birth certificate, going to the jobcentre, calling pcworld about my laptop, when I'm able to do those things with no catastrophes, it makes me feel like I've accomplished something. They're small things to do, but to me they're huge because I feel like I can't do anything. Cos I suck. So doing those things without anybody holding my hand and guiding me through it, telling me what to do, makes me feel just a smidge better about myself. It won't last, it'll fade with the next phase of feeling like crap about myself. But eh, it's nice while it lasts.
xo
p.s. Oh and my new memory card for my phone arrived, it costs me £.29 with £4.00 postage...explain to me though why I paid £4 postage and it costs £.40 to send? ~rolls eyes~
Enjoy and have fun!!

Apparently, our MP sincerely congratulates me on my graduation and "academic accomplishments"! There's a nice little letter and a colourful certificate in a green hard plastic folder.
I'm flattered, but a little puzzled. I have no idea why I received this! I've never met our MP--or if I did, I don't remember it!--and I've not taken many actions to express my patriotism and interest in "the democratic process.". Neek says one probably needs a GPA of 90 or over. That makes a lot of sense, actually.
Anywho.
It's a pleasant mystery--although I wish there were monies attached!--and I think I'll be fine just accepting it. But if you've any ideas why a mouse like me gets the MP's attention, I'd appreciate the insight!
Happily yours,

First, I got my certificate four, they look quite good. I got mine reprinted because there was a black streak across the certificate that wasn't supposed to be there.

I'm getting an HP palm pilot. So good! It's going to be a part Christmas preasent from mum and dad. But I'll have to pay for mostly all of it because it's sooo expensive. I can't remember the model right away but I'll put it on the blog when I get the details from home. Since I'm looking for a mobile phone and an HP palm pilot, I might as well get them all combined. Save a lot of space.
The main things it has on it: Windows, Camera, Mobile, (possible MP# player, not too sure), USB, Bluetooth and Bluechip.
They're the main features. I'm getting it for a good deal because it's on sale for a month, with cash back. Plus because the supermarket I'm working at has discount at that place I'll save another $40, that 5% is actually worth something when it's for an expensive electronic. So that's cool.
Anyhow, I'm in the edit swete for Small Press. Yes, I accidently jammed the printer, but hey it was fixable. I'm almost finished my Historical Re-enactment article. Well, I am, but I want to get a couple of people to edit it first before I hand it in. The Small Press book is going to printing in two weeks. I'm cutting fine way past the deadline.
Okay, gotta go, I'm sure someone else has booked this print room.
Cya.
