Yes, yes, yes, yes - yeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssss!!!!!!! I got in. I received the acceptance pack for camp America. What a way to lift me up today.
I don't know where i've been placed yet but i'll keep you updated. Hope it's somewhere green, rainy with lots of mountains. I want to work on one of the disability camps, and they have a huge demand for those ones.
Okay, i'm coming to America.
Today was rough. I kept hitting snooze from 6am all the way to 6:50am, then decided to wake up and take a shower. I got to school, and got ready for practice. Everybody but mark was outside and was ready to go. Once we were out there, we got a tiny head start on warming up before he came. We all got a laugh out of it. We did Patterns 1 and 2, diddles, and then we performed the opener.
After that, we had to march basic block most, if not all morning. Then we had lunch (and there was some trouble getting it, because no one asked drumline or colorguard if we wanted any!). It all worked out though.
I sat by Jen (from colorguard) and she started talking to me. (The 2nd say of camp of her birthday, and she came up and hugged me and told me she was sorry for being mean to me last year! She's the one who called me a hermit. After she hugged me and I walked away, she said that we were going to become best friends this year. Weird, huh? )
After lunch, we did pit (3rd tune) and practiced the 2nd tune more. It was somewhat boring.
We did the opener a couple of times outside with drill. It was hard! The end was a littel sloppy so we stopped at couple of sets early.
After that was dinner, and I ate a hotdog. Again, Jen wanted me to sit with her. I did. We were playing with each other's cell phones. It was sorta fun (she has verizon...I have cingular.)
After dinner was the performance for the community. It wasn't too bad, though Walker Vally HS's directors came and checked us out. I guess they were just checking to see how competion would be this year....
Over all, band camp was hard, but very very fun :) and I learned a lot of things! (though trey could have been a little less of a jerk. He didn't have to be Mr. Nazi Drill Prick! )
Also, the WHOLE SNARE LINE GOT GIRLFRIENDS!

Marybeth - (she's still single...as far as I know)
The tenor line is still availble (yup...it's just me :-P )
I hope me and jen do become best buds this year, and I hope I get a couple more friends too. :)

hopefully one of my friends will save me from my boredom streak and we'll go up to the village. that would be nice... so nice to stretch my legs and walk somewhere... then on our way home stop at white rock or tea source... that'd be even better.*hopefully* it'll be emma or sadie. i haven't seen either one of them in soo long.... gah... i'm soo horrible.....i need to contact my friends more often during break..... i really do... luckily, i see steph and rachikins often enough... but riz, lizzy,kate,emma and sadie i need to talk to more often... luckily, i'll see emma and sadie soon enough as swim season starts up.... yay for swim team(we've been around for 7-8 years, we do better than the soccer teams usually do, and we're bigger than at least half of them...combined... why don't we get more attention from the sports office? and why doesn't mr.buri try harder to get us a coach?and why does everyone on the team thats been there for a substantial amount of time feel the need to either join some lesser team like cross country, or leave for"personal reasons"... mr turbes ins't the coach anymore you know!!!!!! he left!)! and kate and riz still go to school with me, but lizzy is going to benilde next year.... and i wont be able to see her very often.... *sniffle**sniffle*

servant camp:13 dayz(yay, i get to see lots of my classmates... this'll be fun, since we have coffee house!!!!!!!and those stupid buggering little sevies dont!(i love to be a little mean in the morning on mondays.))
swim season: 21 dayz(somehow, it seems like this should be less... oh well.. more between me and hell week...)
Lots of work went on at camp today! The paintball area is looking great and almost ready for action, lots of grass was cut, the phone line to the chapel was reconnected, the volleyball net is up, the tuk shop is having a really neat painting going on inside, Eagles Nest is being cleaned and so much more! Everyone has been doing a great job and working hard in the heat. Thanks to everyone who is here this week :)
Paul has been wearing Inez's Aussie hat because of his sunburn & Keith's neck is super red :)
We'd like to get some pictures here on this blog site, but don't know how to do it. Is there anyone that can tell us how it's done?
Tonight most of us will be at Mt. Lister enjoying climbing and zipping...Should be lots of fun :)
