Camp Out @ MindSay

When was the last time you camped out in your own front yard? 

As a child I did a lot of camping out in the backyard ..... when friends would come and spend the night.  But as an adult I can't remember ever pitching a tent or just throwing some blankets or sleeping bags out on the lawn .... to just sleep outdoors.

Sunday evening we decided to do just that .... the meteor showers were to be at their peak around midnight and I was bound and determined to watch.  So Dave blew up the air bed and tossed it out on the lawn .... I grabbed blankets, pillows and the dogs (romantic huh?) and we proceeded to lay under the stars ..... and there were billions out .... and waited and counted the meteors we saw.  We also counted satellites and airplanes ..... for the heck of it.  I felt like a little kid .... giggling and getting excited every time a bright streak would fly across the sky.

Eventually we all fell asleep ..... but before we did I asked Dave ..... did you turn the automatic sprinklers off?  He said ..... no.  So ..... with that in mind .... my sleep was restless. The last thing I needed was to get woke up by sprinklers .... but with a tap on the butt around 3:00 a.m. and the words "I'm freezing" ..... we grabbed up the bed, blankets and dogs and came back in the house to our bed.

I slept in yesterday till around 10:00 a.m. and then got busy with just normal everyday to do's.  My mind kept returning to our visit with Jen and Justin this weekend and thinking of the fun that was had.

ahhh i guess i should update this. i have sort of neglected it these past few days. Well, I went to a campout the other night at my friend Mikala's house....there was about 10/15 of us....alot of the people I didn't know because they went to Marshall county but I soon figured out who they were and I liked them!!! They were pretty cool all in all. We had alot of fun just messing around and prank calling people and such. I am hoping that we will do this again sometime soon.

Today I think is a day of rest.....I am not really sure that I have anything planned....I think I am going to go dig my Harry Potter book out of my closet and finish it....because I need to do that before the other one comes out. Wow, what a nerd I really am. I am going to probably go and lay out for awhile today also....get some more sun...11 days until I leave for Florida......wow...that is a REALLY short time. heh.
