Dixie currently feels:
Excited
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really have destroyed my sleep patterns.
I'm suffering from severe insomnia - the only time I can actually sleep is between noon and 4PM.
I stay up all night now, either playing on my DS, playing Brawl - or hanging about on the forums.
Forums!
Which brings me to the reason why I'm so excited. :D
Raven The Ravenous, a user on my forums has suggested that a lot of us get together in threads and work on a collaboration fan fiction.
I've wrote with four other FFN users before, but that was only duos.
This is going to be with 11+ users, with about 3-4 at once.
I don't like to seem like I'm taking charge, because I'm not.
I may be the admin, and I organise the threads and stuff - but I seriously do love organising things.
Due to this, I want to be the fic cleaner. :)
I cleaned all four of the other fics I wrote with others, and I really enjoy doing it.
But yeah, I reckon Raven should be the fic producer, seeing as how it was his idea. :)
A great idea, might I add.
I've asked if I can take part - and be a rival character.
My character's going to be realistic in effect, be exactly like I am, because I'll find it easier to write that way.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I felt like taking lots of photos. :)
So, I've taken some which sort of relate to the way I want to come across in the forum's collaboration fic. :D

Rival Dixie
1. - Dixie is thinking.
2 - Dixie is still thinking. This is a closer shot, and I can't remember how I ended up taking it, but I like it. :)
3 - Dixie is contemplating.
4 - I found a way to set a countdown on the camera, so I can do a full shot of myself now. :D
5 - I took this one by accident. This is the black punk jacket I mentioned in the "things in common" thread. :)
6 - Dixie, in top form. This is how I'm going to appear firstly in the collaboration fic - sketching gory images in my little black book.
7 - Dixie is glaring at you. I'm actually glaring at the camera, but you can't see my eyes because of my fringe. :)
8 - Dixie is the displeased rival. I'm one not to be crossed. :)
9 - With Pokéball in hand, Dixie searches through this shrubbery in the hopes of finding a Chikorita. :D
10 - ...Pokéball, go!
11 - Don't make me have to use this...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rough Dixie
1 - ...Ow... Did that leave a mark?
2 - ...Eww, I can feel blood.
3 - ...Does it look infected?
4 - Beaten and bruised. (I apologise for the camera lens cap being in the shot! :D)
5 - Urrrrrgh... Pain...
6 - *Groans* ...Musn't cry... Musn't cry...
(I want this one to be my new avatar!)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pikachu Abuse!
1 - ...Mwah... You're gonna get it, yellow bastard.
2 - ...Oh Pikachuuuu...! :D
3 - Pikachu... Turn around darling... :)
4 - Guillotine!
5 - Pikachu is hanged. :)
6 - Gagged and interrogated at gunpoint. :)
7 - Spider torture!
8 - Skull wound!
I was introduced to 24-hour mountain bike racing over the weekend at the 24 Hours of Big Bear race held at Big Bear Lake Campground in West Virginia. I didn't ride in the race, I just camped out with some friends who rode. It's impressive! The course was about 14 miles long over some very rough, rocky, muddy, wet terrain. The team I was there with consisted of 5 people. It works as a relay, and when the 5th person finishes, the 1st goes back out again. Three of the riders rode 3 laps while the other two only got 2 in. They go all night with headlamps and everything.
I rode the course on Friday when we got there. It was hot, and I hadn't ridden more than 8 miles yet this year. It took me over 3 hours and I got severely dehydrated, to the cramping point (even after emptying my camelbak). My buddy rode his third lap in 1:27. Granted, he's been training hard, but that made me feel pretty inadequate, haha.
The really amazing thing is the guys who ride the race solo... 24 hours with no teammates, and they're riding faster lap times than people on teams. I guess that's why they're solo, but I just can't imagine doing that.
I ended up being the "official" team photographer. My new Canon 40D arrived the day before we left, so I had a blast. I took 127 pictures and it gave me a chance to become nicely acquainted with the new equipment. I'll post a few pics at some point.
One final note, I got stung by a yellow jacket. It's the first time I've ever been stung. It barely left a mark. Nice to know I'm not allergic to stings!

And no, I'm not talking about me, but it would apply... No, I'm talking about www.cameraaddict.com. I just had my first dealing with them, and let's just say I was less than impressed. I should have done my research before jumping in and ordering with them.
I ordered a new Canon 40D DSLR. I was excited because of the low price this place had. That was my first mistake. The next day, I got an email saying "we couldn't process your order because of verification issues," and then had a number for me to call. So, I called the number. "Verfication issues" should be called "we want to rape you by throwing in some overpriced accessories you just absolutely 'need' with your new camera." Yeah, the price jumped about $600 for items I can get at Best Buy for about $150. And then an extra $150 magically appeared out of nowhere making the total nearly $2000. Yeah, not good.
So, I decided to cancel. I sent emails to two different addresses, no replies. I spent close to 3 hours on the phone attempting to contact someone at this fine establishment who could help me cancel my order. Most of the time, when I actually got taken off of hold and talked to someone, the common response was, "oh, I can't access your information, I'll have to transfer you to..." at which time I'd go back on hold for another half-hour. I finally got it cancelled and will never go back to their site again. I would recommend the rest of you avoid them as well.
