Buster @ MindSay
I'm going to revisit 3 chosen songs I wrote when I first started to record music seriously.
A few years ago I wrote and recorded 9 songs in about a teo week period with a very talented guy called "Mick Paul".
Mick plays a mean Bass Guitar and has been busy in his career up to now. He also runs his own recording studio, and the nine songs I recorded with him, were done in that studio.
I've picked 3 of those songs to upload to youtube, and this is the first of them.
The title of the song is "Amber falls". The meaning is quite dark. I wonder if you can work out what the song is about, before the video tells you near the end.
Check out the video here:
I have put some snippets of info about Mick in this first video, and I will be adding more to the following 2 videos. There may be a name or two that some music lovers might recognise.
I put a warning in the video description of this song, because the song contains what is known as "Speaker busters". Extremely deep high volume bass notes, that can cause damage to a bass speaker when it's turned up full. I just thought I'd let you know that. :)
Now for some youtube food.
I only need another 10 subs to get to 700. So the current figure is 690.
My channel views are now 15,424.
The overall video views are up to 235,621. The way things are going, I might hit the quarter million by the first year anniversary of my first video upload.
In my next post, I'll be bigging up the second of the three selected old original songs :).
Earlier this afternoon, when I was talking to my mom on the phone, I heard a great commotion coming from this kitchen where Lizzy was refined for repeatedly committing crimes I will not disclose. I quietly peaked over the child gate to see what she was up to but... she was nowhere in sight. I called for her. There was a pause and even a louder ruckus. The noise seemed to move the length of the kitchen. From one end of the counter to the other. Slightly confused I stepped over the gate. Luckily it was just in time to see Lizzy fall clumsily out of an ajar kitchen cabinet door with a skillet. It clanged loudly on the floor and she ran haphazardly to me, apparently in the belief she was about to be set free.
Now tell me, please, how in the world can I jump in her case for doing something so adorable? It was funny and I found it very difficult not to laugh. Well... She was disciplined anyway and now she's been set free but is sulking in her basket surrounded by her PetSmart dog and all the toys she's nicked from Buster over the last few weeks.
She may even have a fascination for cabinets... I call her my 10 Pound Shadow. She follows me all throughout the house. I can hardly walk from her getting tangled between my feet. A week or so ago when I was cleaning the house and I noticed my shadow was gone. I spent 10 minutes (no exaggeration) searching the house up and down, dreading what she could've possibly torn into. Just as I began to doubt myself (had I let her out?) I heard a low groan (she rarely barks) and a slight rattle on the kitchen cabinet where the dog food was kept. I pulled the handle and there she was staring up at me.
Well... I suppose the kitchen isn't as big of a punishment for her as it is for Buster.
I watched the episode of Mythbusters last night, and it was oh so very funny.
The ammount of abuse that poor dummy recieves is unbelievable.
But it's funny, if you enjoy laughing at others misfortune.
Have a good one.
The episode of Mythbusters tonight on SBS has the potential to be one of the fnniest ever.
It is all about the way that those crazy buggers abuse their crash test dummy (AKA 'Buster')
This could be a crack up.
My uncle goes to check my grandpa out of the nursing home, and I'm trying to push him in the wheelchair while holding Buster, my 14-lb. Jack Russell terrier mix. So, he's pulling on his leash while I'm trying to push the wheelchair, and it's just not going well.
My grandpa wants to see if Buster can pull him, so I hand him the leash. I get in front of Buster and call him so he'll pull. He's basically spinning his wheels on the slick floor, my grandpa holding the leash, a giant grin on his face, laughing as he rarely does, his wheelchair not budging an inch.
Laughing, I take Buster back from him and hold the leash with one hand while pushing the wheelchair with the other. Of course, it starts to veer in one direction, so I switch. As we zig-zag down the hallway, my uncle reappears, laughing. I'm sure he saw all the events unfold from down the hall.
Then, as I put in the code to exit, I get us all out of the door. My uncle follows, and a resident tries to inch her way out in the wheelchair. Buster pulls at me as I try to control him and the wheelchair, and my uncle has to coax this elderly lady back into the nursing home. I finally give Buster to my Uncle, and some comment about how we should have our own show is made.
My grandpa told everyone he talked to, my mom, my grandma, my cousin, about how Buster tried to pull him and about us taking him for a ride. It's just nice to see something besides the inside of the nursing home.
My family's crazy, but it's really good to laugh.
