A poem I like to call...

The Key to my House (is inside of my house)

I closed the door upon my leaving

so no one would wonder in

if only I didn't fear being burgled

by other nerdy, white men.

The door was locked and

I walked away

to use the computers at school

O, was I ever a fool.

The instance to leave and

go home to my nest

was at hand so off

I went on my quest

I thought that the key was inside my pants

but in that I was surely proved wrong

inside the house was the

key to my house

and there it had been all along

.........................................................................

Another lovely poem, and day, mangled by yours truely.

Chrysanthemum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chrysanthemums are a genus (Chrysanthemum and northeastern) of about 30 species of perennial flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to AsiaEurope.

The species of Chrysanthemum are herbaceous perennial plants growing to 50-150 cm tall, with deeply lobed leaves and large flowerheads, white, yellow or pink in the wild species.

Chrysanthemum species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species - see list of Lepidoptera which feed on Chrysanthemum.

Culinary uses

Yellow or white chrysanthemum flowers are boiled to make a sweet drink in some parts of Asia. The resulting beverage is known simply as "chrysanthemum tea". Chrysanthemum tea has many medicinal uses, including an aid in recovery from influenza. In Korea, a rice wine flavored with chrysanthemum flowers is called gukhwaju.

The leaves of several species such as Chrysanthemum coronarium, the Garland chrysanthemum, which is grown commercially in East Asia as a leaf vegetable, known as tung ho, shungiku, or ssukkat.

In China, the greens are often stir-fried simply with garlic and dried chili peppers. The colour of the cooked greens is dark, their texture dense and mucilaginous, and their flavour fragrant and complex.

Insecticidal uses

Pyrethrum (Chrysanthemum [or Tanacetum] cinerariaefolium from biting. When not present in amounts fatal to insects, they still appear to have an ) is economically important as a natural source of insecticide. The flowers are pulverized and the active components called pyrethrins, contained in the seed cases, are extracted and sold in the form of an oleoresin. This is applied as a suspension in water or oil, or as a powder. Pyrethrins attack the nervous systems of all insects, and inhibit female mosquitoesinsect repellent effect. They are harmful to fish, but are far less toxic to mammals and birds than many synthetic insecticides and are non-persistent, being biodegradable and also breaking down easily on exposure to light. They are considered to be amongst the safest insecticides for use around food. (Pyrethroids are synthetic insecticides based on natural pyrethrum, e.g., permethrin.)

Just Started...Stay Tuned...Always Running
This will be big, cats --

What am I saying? It's already happening. Just listen for the hum. Can't hear it? You're fucking deaf that's what's up. How about you take out those trendy cotton swabs that are earhole-fucking you as we speak. But I'm not hating-on any one...just yet. Don't cross me and I won't cross you. That's a promise. And if I break the promise I will slash off some skin for respect. This is serious y'all. No fucking around. We run we dive we hide we pant. But we never sink. We escape. We thrust on. Don't let them get you down. Keep it up all night.

You'll see me again. I don't die.

brilliant topblog plan
Ok  I just want to say I have figured  out why so many people bitch about topblogs.
It is because they will get  on the topblog list if they do so.
Yeah I have  noticed every time someone makes a post  where they are bitching about it.
Then they make the list.
Hey I say well done…lol

Pretty smart thinking on your part.
Make people think that you are disgusted by the whole process so they will actually make you part of it.
Another part of this brilliant plan is they don’t insult the people who vote for it.
They insult the people who made the list.
Even though the people who voted is the reason whoever  made the list in the first place.

So to all of you who has made the list by bitching about the list .
I give you a blog applause.

Austin Alamo Screenings
If anyone can make it to Austin, Texas on Sept. 6, a real film event is taking place,. The Alamo Theater, a real great theater, is doing a Richard Rush retro. If you don't know Richard, he is raved about by Bergman, Truffaut, Tarentino, etc....One of the films stars Peter O'tool, (The Stuntman) and my best buddy, Chuck Bail. The other flick Psych-out, stars Jack Nicholson and yours truly. I also did all of the stunts and effects (before computers.) A great night to be alive and in Austin. If you have questions, just let me know on garykentfilmmaker.com, mindsay, or garynet 1 @ aol.com. See ya' round the loop of life...G K.
