In the longest game in college baseball history, Texas beat Boston College. And it only took them 25 innings to do so. That had to be a nightmare for the pitching coaches. I can only imagine how fatigued the players were.
Both teams return to the field on Sunday. Boston College takes on Army in an elimination game and Texas faces off against the winner of that game.
The Kansas Jayhawks used a 25-7 run in the first half to put away Boston College yesterday.
Darnell Jackson scored a career-high 25 points in the 85-60 victory. Jackson also had 9 rebounds. Darrell Arthur added 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Brandon Rush scored 12.
#3 KU is now 14-0 on the season. It's the first time KU has opened 14-0 since the 2004 season. KU notched 10 steals and 10 dunks in the game.
What an insane time to be a Boston sports fan. The RedSox win the World Series, the Patriots are totally dominant at 8-0, Boston College is #2 in college football, and the Celtics look to once again be competitive this year. Admittedly, the only team I care much about in that mix is the Pats (though, I always root for the Sox against the Yankees), but I can't recall a time in recent memory when one city was so dominant in so many sports.
