Who has ever heard of an Easter Tuesday??

Seriously.

But lucky me, I had Friday off, and Monday and Tuesday. Most boring weekend of my life. :(

And dad has gone away for three weeks to drill holes for dynamite in the mines,

More work for poor old Connie.

Not like I don't do enough anyway.

Like I am on here typing this when I could be doing the washing, or doing the dishes.

Ah well.

I am getting that urge that's telling me I need to go somewhere. I rarely ever get to go and spend time away somewhere other than where I currently live. My friends all have relatives close by that they can escape to for a weekend if they are able to. I am left ultimately to my own devices and spending every weekend at home gets vigorously boring after a while. Yes, I know I'm lucky I have a home to go home to every day, don't get me wrong. But spending the vast majority of your evenings alone in a small quiet condo does not foster a lot of enjoyment, at least for me.

So I've felt the need to get out and go somewhere I don't have to sleep in the same bed for a night or two. Enjoy a little variety and a change of perspective. Ah yes, but where to go? Camping would be fun, even if I had to go by myself, and it's much cheaper to do that than just about any other form of traveling, and my current economic state does not allow for much else. Maybe I could pull out a weekend getaway if the weather would cooperate.

Or maybe I should just pray that some opportunity will make itself available to me. You never know; it's happened before.

well...I'm here, on the third day of cat/house sitting. It's a really quaint little house, I really like it...I'm somewhat jealous. I wish I could own my own house...too bad the only money I have is the $60 I was given this weekend FOR watching the house/cat. o well....hopefully I'll be able to find a better job soon, and a way to get to that better job. :P

 

There's nothing else really new...yesterday I went with Adrian to Future Pastimes...there was a magic tournament he wanted to play in, but there was only 7 people (you need eight to play), so I ended up playing using one of Adrian's decks. I wasn't actually planning on doing well, but I ended up getting third place, and three packs of magic. it was quite funny. I played Adrian in the last of the round robin games, so I could have let him beat me, so then he would have gone on to the finals, but he told me jsut to play, and see what happened. So ya, third place!!!

 

Bleh...this weekend has been really kinda boring though. Adrian's been playing the stupid Playstation 2 ALL weekend. He did the same thing last weekend when we were at my moms...it's really quite annoying. o well....at least he did the dishes last night. lol.

 

well...i'm off....ttyl!

another wasted weekend.... did nothing accomplished nothing.... oh!  i did accomplish ONE thing... i won an auction on eBay... i got a new ring!  yea.  is summer ever going to get here?  are my tax returns ever going to get here?!?!  will i EVER make a decision about what tattoo to get?  when am i gonna go back to work?!  so i kind of watched to race today.... nothing too excieting... a blown engine here.... a blown cylinder there.... whatever.... hillary duff was the honorary flag waver for the begining of the race.... she did a shitty job.... as if there's "protocol" on things like that.... i would have done a much better job myself!  at least it was a wisconsinite who won the race... even if he is driving a ford!  anyways....  i guess thats it for today.... my life really IS quite boring.... sorry!
