so this morning, on the way into town for work, our rear passenger side tire decided today would be a fun day to explode, and it did so. Lucky for us, it decided to do so pretty much right in front of adrian's aunts house. so we spent the majority of our morning there, and now we're here at the school. Adrian's aunt is pretty cool. she's a foster mom, and seeing their morning rutine gives me a huge respect for the woman. haha...she had to leave to drop one of the kids off at school, and so she asked us to answer the phone, and her husband called (but i didn't know it was her husband) and he asked who i was so i told him i was annie's (that's her name) nephew's girlfriend...which is true....and he kinda made a weird noise...and i'm sure he's super confused. so i explained to him that our tire went "Kablamo!" outside their house and annie had gone to drop one of the kids off...so i'm sure he's less confused now! :D
man o man...i'm so hungry...i ran out of time this morning to make some toast to eat, so i was just going to grab something small here, and by the time i got here, the cafeteria ladies had just locked up...so now i have to wait for lunch, and i swear my stomach is going to explode....:D just kidding....but i am really hungry and really thirsty...i don't know if i have enough in my bank account to take out a 20....i'll have to run down there and see later. but i'm really bad with cash....it disappears so much more quickly than when i use my debit card....o well....we'll see....it's only 1 1/2 hours...so i might be able to make it! :)
this weekend was fun. on saturday we went to jessi's christmas party....while on the way adrian tried to kill us! j/k...he was really tired and started to fall asleep on the drive in, and we kinda went off the road...but my screams of terror awoke him, and we were ok. i'm sure the guy in the car behind us thought we were drunk or something. :D then when we finally arrived, we had some good times watching the Grinch with Jim Carrey, and then I helped Rick get the food ready. it was entertaining. then we did a gift exchange, and by the time we had finished eating and the gifts had been swapped a few times, adi and i were beat. neither of us had slept very well the previous night, so we decided maybe we should go home before we get any more tired, and then we wouldn't drive anyone off the road or be in any accidents. so then we came home, and i can't remember, but i think we went to bed! :)
sunday was pretty boring...didn't do much....went to adi's gramma's house and helped put up christmas lights....then came home and did nothing. yesterday adi came into town for work, and i stayed home. i wasn't feeling too well in the morning, so i slept pretty much all day. then linda asked if i wanted to make some cookies and squares for this weekend, so i made some smartie cookies, and tonight we're going to make this chocolate caramel brittle stuff...i can put the recipe up here. they're really good. hold on, let me find it! :) here it is! :)

if you don't want to use butter and sugar, a caramel sauce will work fine...and sometimes it's better to melt the chocolate first and then pour it over top of the caramel, cracker mixture. when the whole thing is cooled off, you can break it apart, and put it in a cute sealed jar, put a bow on it, and they make really scrumptious gift ideas! :) I hope you guys enjoy them! I know I will! :) well....i better be going, i should really find some sort of edible item somewhere....:) ttyl!
