I've Become One of *Those* drivers!

You know, the ones who can't/won't drive at night. Ever since I hit that deer I have been a little scared to drive that road at night. I seem to have no problem driving around our little town at night. It's pretty well lit. However, driving route 126, where I hit that deer, is another story. The lines have just about disappeared either because the are covered by road salt, or the road salt has eaten away the paint. Every shadow I see move becomes something that is about to jump out in front of me. It reminds of the movie "Black Dog". Truckers who were driving too many hours would start seeing things jump out in front of them and it would cause them accidents. Between here and Watertown I only have to drive route 126 for about 15 miles, and most of the road is 55 mph with parts being 30 and 45 mph. I drive an average of 40 mph on this road now, pissing off all drivers who happen to end up behind me. These idiots will pass when the road is icy and/or wet. They don't care. They only care about driving faster and getting out from behind me. I haven't had the damage to the van fixed yet, so the misangled head light isn't helping the vision problems. Wearing the glasses I have had since I was 15 might also help me to see better. haha Although I just don't know what it's really going to take to make me feel better about driving that road again.

The reason we went to Watertown last night was to buy wood for a project Dale is making for his sister Amy. It's going to be one of those wooden hair dryer/curling iron holders. Amy's needs to hold a curling iron, hair dryer, and 2 straightening irons. She also wants a box on it to hold the attachments for the straightening iron (which I am sure are what I call crimpers lol). I was going to put a picture on here, but Dale won't let me. He says if I show everyone what it looks like other people will make them that way. He plans to make these to sell one day, probably after he retires from the Army in a couple of years. My husband is quite handy when he actually has the time to make projects. Anyway, we also made the short trip to Watertown to eat dinner out. Mostly Dale only wants to eat at local places which is great to keep the money in our community, but there are only about 5 places here. We ate at Bob Evans last night. Not my choice. I think I would have picked Applebees. Anyway, apparently Bob Evans closes at 9pm, even on a Saturday. We didn't realize this, and we were taking our sweet time eating, and even ordered dessert. For dinner Caitlin ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with broccoli, Matthew had pancakes and sausage, Dale ordered an omelet with breakfast potatoes, and I had bbq chicken. My chicken came with a baked potato and broccoli, but I subbed the broccoli for green beans w/ham. When the plate arrived my green beans had onions, but no ham. That's just gross, and I wouldn't have ordered the green beans had I known they would have onions. For dessert the kids each had a Reese's sundae, Dale had a hot fudge sundae, and I ordered the Hershey's hot fudge cake with a scoop of ice cream. My cake was not hot at all. The menu did say it would be served warm. The fudge topping was cold, straight out of a can, and the cake cold, straight from the fridge. Very disappointing. I ate half the slice of cake, and the ice cream, and gave the rest to Dale. We tipped the waitress well because she was attentive, and said our baby was beautiful. haha However, I don't feel bad that we kept the restaurant open an extra 1/2 hour since the food was not as expected. Last time they burned my breakfast potatoes and bacon. I don't think we'll be going back there.

Well, the baby is awake, and ready for lunch. Plus I can finally finish my painting today. See ya's later. :)

Busy Day

I thought I didn't have anything planned for today, but I was wrong! Today was a pretty busy day. First, we went to the gas station where I saw my brother, Ian!! He works at gas stations for a summer job. We talked to him for a while then, we  picked up my grandma, then we went to Wal Mart to get my mom's paycheck, then we went to Target to buy stuff for my Aunt Von's wedding shower, then to the bank, then to Bob Evan's for lunch. It was yummy!! lol Then we came home for like a half hour, then went to Studio 7. Now I am back here! Thank goodness! Well, I can't wait for tomorrow!! Me & Alyssa are going to the Wild Thing's game!! Then she is spending the night! Woohoo! Well, I will talk to ya all later! Bye!
