Oblivious

I was looking for some wireless stereo headphones so I can watch TV late at night, but not bother the rest of my family.  I am still looking for some cheap (ok, not EXPENSIVE) ones.

I came across.these (see picture).

Blutooth is a wireless connection, so these would work.  But, then I notices that they are designed to be used with cellphones, because they also have a microphone built-in.  So, you are walking along with THESE things on your head, competely oblivious to any sounds around you, but chatting up a storm.

If these don't get you committed, I wonder what will?

Ever lose your cell phone?
Have you ever lost or broken your cell phone?  You should always buy a phone that has blutooth,  ir (infrared), or at least a separate cable to backup your phone numbers.

There are also sites - reachable from most cell phones - that allow you to backup your phone THRU your phone - to the phone network.  This sound neat, but I think you pay a monthly service for it.

Anyway, I've had many a cell phone - going back to the bag phone.  Yes, a phone that required a whole bag to hold it, the base unit, a battery, and an antenna.  I skipped the brick phone and went to the straight to the bag because it was better suited to the car - external antenna and cigarette lighter power.

One of the last cell phones I had came with a flipout which contained a full "qwerty" keypad.  Boy, could you send emails and messages out of that one!  No fooling around with the multiple presses, codes, and shortcuts.   Anyway, while  having the  phone resting on the door, and  talking via blutooth, I opened the window to show my badge, and out onto the pavement went my phone.  The phone was "ok" - but it cracked the screen right where all the commands were - rendering the phone useless.

I got another phone - on another network.  This one also has blutooth and ir, to transfer phone numbers and stuff to the computer.  When this phone would not charged, I was able to get the phone replaced with a new one - same model.  I was able to bring back all the numbers and things I backup.

Back in business in ten minutes!
