Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Stephen. I have a lot of opinions and a lot of things to say. I started this blog mostly because I needed a way to get those things out. I was reading a John Mayer blog and I saw how he got everything out. It inspired me to do this. I'm a musician and more importantly, an artist. I like to create music, I like to write, and I like to think. Be ready to read a lot of stuff on music, my personal thoughts, and experiences. But in the end, this is a blank window everytime I start a new blog. A blank window that anything can be typed in...i guess we'll have to wait and see what comes to me

I hope whoever by chance stumbles across this blog will take something helpful away from it, because even though I'm writing it, I know i'll be getting something out of it. SO, lets start day 1 of the experiment.

Well I do have another blog site over @ Livejournal but I think that I may like this one alot better. We'll see,  I suppose.  At any rate, this is my first post to 'feel the place out' & I cannot promise anything more than that as yet.

 

*~* just had to add that I have deleted the other blog & will be using this one as my main site from now on. So far, this is the only one that I can honestly say is easiest to use as well as has better layouts, IMHO.  So I guess that you are stuck with me! :)

I know i havent made any posts for the last few months. This will be my final post, probably.

This is quite interesting! When I first started customizing my blog page on my own, without the templates, etc. that first one had a purple theme to it with green as the secondary color...



Re: my scanned morning glory header pic, BEFORE I got my fabulous digital camera.

  I'll admit I do have a liking for purple for some reason though it's not always an easy colour to work with... Oh hey, come to think of it, different hues of violet are also featured on my website - again mixed with a shade of green, plus black - great for photo backgrounds! I find I do love my morning glory photos too and their colours have always drawn me in. So rich and regal! Like THIS shot below!

 

Plus there's a saying regarding pulling in healing energy from Archangel Gabriel, or is it Michael...; "Invoking violet light, or the violet flame..." - apparently the imagery has a very healing affect on the body, mind and spirit - human or animal, likely in-animates benefit as well.
 And so I think it might be time to do some work on this site to bring some of that beautiful violet light back here into my blog for the passive benefit for all who might come by for a visit!
 
At the end of this entry is the "thingy" that got me thinking about this after I was visiting at moxyman's blog - moxyman  (note: he's set up blue for his site!) - he has a good post today about the top 10 items to purchase when grocery shopping, listing foods that will help to detoxify the body. It's great information and I'm glad he shared it with us! Thanks moxyman! Go check it out if you're interested, and if today is no longer January 15th, 2007 - go to that day on his blog!

Now to find some purple / violet and to incorporate it back into my blog.... It has been there often - I recall my mallard drake blog header pic - where his head was showing the deep purple sheen (almost looks black in the shot!) on his head and neck, and now as I think about that... hm-m-m-m ain't it funny that, depending on the light (yes, that's right, "light") and how it reflects off his feathers, a mallard drake's head and neck appear either as green or purple!
 


This was my header pic, the shot taken and the header designed just about this time last year! Cool!
And here's the green just to show you, the irridescent quality of the feathers ...



I love this shot - I managed to catch this duck on camera just as he was calling, I call it "Laughing Duck" because the sound they make always reminds me of laughter and it often sounds like the ducks are chuckling away to themselves, or laughing at us ground-bound humans, when I hear them down at the river!
Oh wow! How much more intuitive could those decisions have been? he! he! he! ;) nudge, nudge, wink wink!

Hmmmmm maybe I'll experiment with these blog thingies more often.....

(Now I'll admit to being expressive and offbeat - that works for me... but one can't read too much into these things - this blog was inspired by what someone else was saying - so...there you go! he!
