They say (whomever "they" are) that nothing in life is ever free. That's not quite true it seems.

 A friend of mine, whom I've known for a year or two owns several businesses. He's the kind of guy who owns a lot, makes a lot of cash and loves to spend it and do things with it. He's the kind of guy you'd like no matter how much he had or didn't have.

 I had asked him if he'd invest in a nightclub I wanted to open. he said he would and together with another investor we started to make it happen. I foolishly let the deal go however, by waiting too long for the right place to be vacant. Someone else got in before me; Too bad, so sad, we'll try again later - maybe. 

 We were discussing his many bars one day when, in frustration over one of them that isn't making enough money, he asked me if I still wanted to open a bar.

 I said: "of course I would mate"

 and he said: "well would you like this one?"

I assumed he was kidding and said that yes, I'd love it. He agreed and told me to get the paperwork, he'd give it to me.

 I've asked three time since then if he's serious, I've given him every opportunity to back out of the deal and I've even offered money. He's still adamant that he wants to get rid of it and that I can have it for nothing except what I spend starting up.

It seems he's just fed up with a bar that doesn't make enough money to warrant his working so hard on it. So it seems I now own a bar, the contract gets signed next week and I guess I won't have time to scratch myself after that. I keep telling people I won it in a poker game because no one believes the truth.

So yes, sometimes (by the grace of the almighty) great opportunities do land in your lap. I just need a good name for it . . .any ideas?

Here's a number I recorded a few years back. The difference with this one is that it is recorded, and I didn't sing it in front of the camera, like the other cover versions. There are a few people that really love this version, because of the male vocals, so this is why I decided to put it up on Youtube.

Something else I discovered, was how to improve the sound quality in my videos, and present them in stereo. Instead of uploading an MPG file. I converted it to a low quality Flash file first. Which also made the uploading a lot faster, because the video file was a lot smaller in size.

The title of the song is "I am blessed", and was originally recorded by "Eternal".

I am watching in awe as these candidates both male and female, black and white (and it feels good to say that) vie for attention, votes, handshakes, and microphones.  One more campaign, one more speech, one more lie or twist of the truth, or slur on another. I am watching thinking about these people as the next leaders of the country that I live in, the country that millions have died for, the country that people daily pledge their allegiance to and I am aching inside to cry out STOP THE WORLD I WANT TO GET OFF.  The whole show makes me cringe inside with remorse and anti-politicalism....Is that a word?  I am not sorry for the way I feel.  I read in Luke 6:21 this morning some words that comfort me. "Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.  Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven' for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep Woe unto you when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. My sentiments exactly..... So I choose to follow the one who will lead me to the eternal riches and and glory and fame that I so desire. The one who has promised and always keeps his promises. He has never failed me, never cheated on me, never abused me, never lied to me, never cursed me, and never will. He loves me unconditionally even though I continue to fail him and mess up every single day.  He forgives me over and over and comforts me in my sorrow and my pain , even though I bring much of it on myself.  He NEVER QUESTIONS WHY HE LOVES ME >>>HE JUST DOES...for this he has my vote and so much more..For this I will follow him as he leads this nation and this world...for this I will follow him as he leads me..........much love...C.
