Gah...
Tomorrow is going to be SO awesome!  That I can't sleep now... Ha ha.  I hope I'm not keeping Sal up typing.  I have class in four hours, then the gym... then probably a nap and then... *drum roll* dinner at Geoff's! Geoff and Jackie are the most awesomely weird couple.  I mean that in a totally good way.  Geoff is cooking a belated birthday dinner for Sal who turned twenty on Sunday.  Yay Sal!  We're having stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, lamb for dinner (with potatoes and some sort of vegetable which has not yet been announced), and there is even going to be dessert!  Dessert!  I'm going to try to save half my meal for later because I know damned well that this is going to have probably about 30 million calories in it and I don't need my ass to get any bigger... especially since I stopped smoking and all that.  Hanging out with Geoff and Jackie while Geoff cooks is always loads of fun and the food is always SO good.  I can't stress enough how great this man's cooking is.  He makes his own sauces.  Seriously!  They want to open a restaurant together and I can't wait till it happens.  Yum yum yum! Sobriety can be fun!

Happy Birthday- to me!!!

Listening to: Black Sabbath- Paranoid

So- it's my birthday today. And I am offcially 18- and legal (to do almost anything I like in this country). Yay for me! My day was extremely awesome. Bennie (metal- fling-boy..) gave me an extremely large smooooch and i got the coolest digital camera...heehee- I'm happy about both!!

So much happened- but I will post a larger blog later.. as this is just an update. The real partying only starts tomorrow- although I'm already smashed on some cheap red wine now as a result of my father's "Education plan" for my 18th birthday when we went out for dinner earlier this evening. According to him- I have never experienced alcahol to it's fullest- so tonight was my chance... hahahaha!!

So cheers to the start of my adult life.. it feels like it's started off great already!!

Oh.. and I have finally decided to pursue a career in the film industry... KACHING!!!

Toodles.

Eighteen
I haven't blogged anything of any real consequence the last few days. I guess it's time I do that now. heh.

My 18th birthday was yesterday, yes. Thank you to everyone who left me comments. I replied to quite a few of them but I was becoming redundant so I'm sending out a big THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES to y'all. :)

We went out to the Olive like I wanted to. My mom asked me if I wanted to try the hookah and I thought about it but said no. I told her later that she should get it and maybe I'd try it then. I told her I was worried what'd happen to me if she's been smoking since she was 13 and when she first tried it she caughed (I was there). She laughed and agreed I'd probably "croak". That was while the waitress was standing at the table talking to us and my mom said, "hmm... You try it if you want, Liv. You're 18 now, you can do whatever you want." The waitress laughed and said, "My daughter turned 18 last year and I told her she can't do shit 'till I say so!" I was thankful for my momma being momma! Anyway, instead I just enjoyed the second hand smoke (heh). I wished my older sister, Catherine, were there. It was just weird being with my mom and my little sister and her friend. I would have liked to smoke with my older sister, and I would have if she was there. No doubt.

I drank some REALLY strong Arabic coffee, too. The waitress said that she had it once and to be weary because she took a few sips and was out there and so did her husband. She said, "oh shit... that stuff's like tar!" I decided to go ahead and get it and it came in a tiiiiny cute little cup. hahah. It was very tasty, though, but it gave me shivers every time I took a sip, it was so strong. Good, though.

The waitress was quite a character. My mom and I concluded she musta been on speed. She was funny, though.

I got a new cell phone. We were gonna put it in my name but the lady said that since I don't have any credit, it would be like $800 dollars or something around there. She said in about a year that will go down significantly, especially if I start establishing credit in other ways, like by opening a bank account and shit. So we'll see about putting it in my name in a year. For now it's in my mom's. ...I don't like the phone I got. It was the only one that I actually like the look of, and I played with it in the store but when I got home and continued fiddling with it... I realised it doesn't have a lot of features that my old phone had that I really need, it's not even that I like them. Like it has it so I can change the colour of the numbers when I'm dialing (who the hell cares?!)... but I can't change the sound and volume of all the different things like when a call's coming in, a text, my alarm, my planner, etc. It's all one big thing for the most part and I need to have them set differently! If I set the volume at 3 so my alarm will wake me up in the morning, then I wake up and go to school but I forgot to set it back to vibrate and I get a text or something while it school, it'll go off and I'll get in trouble, plus that's just a hassle that I isn't necessary (not the mention you have to go digging for every little thing. my old phone is much more simple to use. I LIKE SIMPLE.). And when I text it makes noise and there's no way to turn it off! Not gonna work. So I'm gonna go and get a different phone.

...Anyway. heh. :) I have more to say, that is not so... trivial and of this outer world, - more on my inner world. I'll make another post about all that later, though.

Peace.

night out

Sunday was a much better day to have my birthday celebrated. I went out to watch my little causins football game over at Hudson, he pretty much ownz lol. we fooled around after his game was over, and I cheered him up a bit (his team lost). Jennifer bought me some hot chocolate for my birthday!

I had invited my aunt to come with us to the Cheesecake Factory, but it was her mother in laws birthday the same day. my little causins must of buzzed around aunts head for a good hour or 2 to make up her mind lol. she ended up dropping them off at my place. off we went :-) I had to sit in the middle lol, they were beating each other up just to sit next to me.

My little causins surprised me with a happy birthday and my favorite cheesecake

on our way out of Cheesecake Factory I took the kids out to the book store, Jennifer bought 2 books - Captain Underpants, and some other one I forgot. Josh got Pirates of the Caribbean. my day had brithened up.

36-24-36? Only if she's 5'3".

Name the song.  ;)

In the meantime, here is a dose of random surveyness:

Take each letter in your first name and apply the corresponding sentence to it.

A -You're damn good in bed
B - You're always fun when it comes to meeting new people.
C - You're wild and crazy.
D - You have trouble trusting people.
E - Sex comes easily to you
F - People totally adore you.
G - Love is something you deeply believe in.
H - You have very good personality and looks.
I - You have a nice ass!
J - Everyone loves you.
K - You like to try new things.
L - You have beautiful eyes.
M - Sex comes easily to you.
N - you have a big warm heart
I - You have a nice ass!
O - You love foreplay.
P - You're popular with all types of people.
Q - You're a hypocrite.
R - You are hot and sexy!
S - People think you are hot.
T - You're the best in bed.
U - You're cool.
V - You're not judgemental.
W - You're very broad minded.
X - You never let people tell you what to do.
Y - You're the most hard ass gangster alive.
Z - You're super cool

So if we take my name, Gretchen, then we get:

G - Love is something you deeply believe in.  (Indeed.)

R - You are hot and sexy!  (Why thank you.)

E - Sex comes easily to you  (If you say so...)
T - You're the best in bed  (Um....Thanks?)

C - You're wild and crazy.  (Yes I am.)
H - You have very good personality and looks.  (Sounds good to me.)

E - Sex comes easily to you (Yes, we get it already.)

N - You have a big warm heart  (Now that's more like it.)

Eh, I was bored.  =P

In other news, today wasn't bad at all.  I rode my bike this afternoon (well, technically my mother's bike, as my own bike remains in Natchitoches), and then this evening my family took me out to Coyote Blues (a really popular Mexican restaurant in Lafayette).  Then we stopped at Barnes & Noble, and I was allowed to pick one book as my present.  I headed straight for the manga section, and after only slight deliberation, I picked out Volume 2 of Loveless.  (It's such an awesome series.  Dragon Head is really good too.)

Right now I have two songs stuck in my head:  "Pinball Wizard" by The Who, and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band.  It kinda alternates between one and the other.  Why?  Mainly because we're playing both of them in marching band.  "Pinball Wizard" is part of the halftime show we're doing now, and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" is in our next halftime show.  Oh, and in our next halftime show, the school violin professor will be joining us for that very song, on his electric violin.  It's gonna kick ass.  ^_^

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannndd that's pretty much all I had to say.  =P

Good night, everybody!!  =)
