if this is as good as it gets then good
1300, 1200, 1400, 2000....entries. However many it is...do you ever feel like you've said enough? What was my 'secret' from my past blog entry? Did I have one? Who cares? (not me).

I suppose it comes to a point where real-world social contacts become paramount to spouting to online communities that can pretend to be whoever they want to be. Case in point - simply compassion and humanity....

I was fishing a month ago...I saw an elderly man coming out of the woods with some fish. I turned around, continued to fish, then looked back and minute later and didn't see him. I thought about it for a second then wondered if he had somehow slipped by me. Something made me concerned, so I stopped and walked where I saw him last, and sure enough, he was face down in the mud, having fallen over a tree. I ran to help him up, somehow terribly panged by that feeling of watching someone in such a helpless state. Thoughts ran through my mind, knowing that this old man was once like me, able to bound over fallen trees, slinking through the woods, fishing on precarious outcroppings of rock...

In short, I think I saw myself in this old man, years from now...

If I fall in 50 years, will there be anyone there to help me up?

He thanked me as he plodded along, back to his car. For a moment I wondered who he was, what he believed, who he had at home...

In real life you don't immediately start your first or second introduction to a person with "This is who I am, and this is what I believe, and all other people who believe choice B are idiots". You have introductions, chance encounters, getting to know time, becoming familiar with who that individual is as a person, coming to enjoy their company, accepting their differences from your own.

Online, we forgo with all of that. I'm sure there are many of you out there who I would like and you would like me if we had a chance encounter on the street some random day. Sometimes internet mouthpieces are too loud...

So I wonder now, what did that old man believe in? Was he a devout evangelical who thought Obama was a Muslim and not fit to lead this county? Perhaps. But he was grateful to me, and I to him, even though I don't know him.

Now I know why sometimes saying less is more.

Spirits

Both the cats and the dog are looking at a spirit move around the room, and Hera is actually bristling and barking softly at it, I think it teases them!  Hera keeps trying to scent it and she gets confused it has no scent...

Update:  In the kitchen where it seemed strongest, I found that my gargoyle there had been turned around and was faced into the wall, I have turned it around and the animals seem a bit calmer

Note to self:  Dragon's Blood incense :D

Took Tink to the Millie Bush Bark Park for the second time yesterday. It was a beautiful day and Sunday to boot so it was pretty crowded. She had a blast. Took a few shots and stayed about 45 mins. She made a few new friends and took a stroll along the bank of the pond with a handsome young fella. Needless to say, keeping up with her was fun. I tried to sit on a bench once. That didn't last long. Since she is only six months old, she doesn't always come to me when I call her, so I felt I had to stay fairly close to her.

The park is awesome. The entrance/exit is a heavy-duty double-door set-up. There is a large park for the larger dogs and of course, the smaller one for the rest of us. They even offer a place to wash your dog, if needed. I just put Tink in the tub but, for the folks with a large animal and live in apts. that has to be a boon.

Tink conked out on the ride home ('bout 10 miles) and slept really good last night. She had been getting her energy back and not happy about being cooped up since her convalesence period. We both slept good!

Her red ball, in the last photo with her, was totally unnecessary by the way. lol!

I am Married to an Idiot Out Wondering Around!!!!

Okay not one of the update blogs.......I am having problems with my camera.  But I thought you would all like to know I am married to an Idiot Out Wondering Around.........aka an Iowan!!!!

I am lucky though.  My Iowan moved out of state when he graduated highschool and has lived on the East Cost and on board a Navy Ship for 10 years.  And when I married him after 3 years of my Nebraskan ass dealing with Idiots Out Wondering Around I conviniced my Iowan to get the fuck out of that State.  Iowa is only good for shopping and such in if you live near the boarders.

The incident that promoted this blog happened yesterday....late in the afternoon.  My hubby has a fucked over rebuilt dodge f250 power disel truck.  It is actually a pretty nice truck but it has some shitty ass tires on it right now until I can get them replaced.  Now we are living in Northeast NE where we have a lot of snow at the moement.  Not near as much as New York and other Eastern states but a lot.  Actually this is normal for us but we have been spoiled by nice warm winters in the past years.

Okay now that I told you about his truck let me tell you what he has been doing since we have moved back.....my ol man has a chainsaw fetish.  He loves them!  He finds old ones and refurbishes them and gets them running again.  He is what I call an amature lumberjack.  Well since we have been back and near trees and woods that need to be thinned out and taken down due to dieses and dead growth, Randy has been in lumberjack heaven taken down trees and cutting up wood.

Randy decieded to get it into his head to drive the truck down by the various barns on the road and then power it up into our yard near the old orchard that he is cleaning up now.  Our yard is not flat but is basically a hill on all sides but one!  He has bad tires on his truck.  All I hear about when I want to use the truck for long drives is how bad the tires are.  The Idiot Out Wondering Around then does this stuipid shit and what does he do?  There is a dead tree near the garden area of the yard and he goes slidding in his truck and hits the tree on the driver's side and has the truck wedged against the tree.

We get it unstuck after a good hour using a wench, my clothes line poles (the wench was run off of that-they are sunk in with concrete), and me driving back and forth.  Oh and a bit of kitty litter!  Once we got it off the side of the tree, I backed the dayum truck off of the snow covered hill (about 8-10 inches of snow) and got it back up to the house.

Needless to say I was livid!  The man got called everyname  in the book including Idiot Out Wondering Around and a dumb ass from Iowa!  I also made a point and pointing out how he constantly bitches about his tires and then what does he do!  Tries to take his truck up a snow covered hill and hits a tree!

The truck isn't that bad of condition.  He is lucky cause if I would have had to pay to fix his dayum driver side door it would have came out of his ass!  It has a slight dent in the driver's door and some lovely bark color scratches but can easily be fixed.

My yard is tore up though and I am not to happy about that.  And Randy can't take the tree down yet cause he is going to have to use a tractor and some of help to make sure the top doesn't hit the house!

Okay now you all know that I am married to an Idiot Out Wondering Around.......aka Iowan!

Doggie!
Meow, I saw my doggie friend the other day. The one who was in the pound. We were supposed to get together to play again but somehow now he doesn't want to. He sent me an email.  Apparently this doggie also can type.  I'm sad. I wanted to hear him bark again. I like it when he barks!

Meow,
Marisol
