Jerry didn't know what to say. Betraile was something he had never experienced, nor did he want to. All he wanted to do is help her. Help her feel safe. He had felt soo much for this scared woman in the few years of knowing her, the only thing he felt he could do is protect her. "So, what happened?" He asked softly. Looking in her eyes, he saw a scared women, trying to search for safety, but always coming up empty handed.
"Well, i'm not sure you want to know what happened next. Its rather horrifying." she said, hugging herself and on the verge of crying. "Would you like me to stay here with you for tonight?" Jerry asked. Surprised, Sabrina thought hard. She didn't know what to say, or even feel next! she hadn't felt anything in years. it was like she was empty inside. Nodding, she breathed a sigh of relief. "I'd like that very much, thank you!" she forced a smile, feeling much better.
"so, would you like some lunch?" Jerry asked, standing from the table. "Sure, i can make us sandwiches and we can have a picnic in the park, if you don't mind. It's the perfect day for it." seeing that she was much happier, he nodded. "Definately, do you want some help?"
"Yes, can you go to the store and get us a few cans on pop, or some juice please?" Sabrina asked, remembering that she was leaving in a few days, and she hadn't told anyone. she wanted to tell Jerry and his family, but he didn't know how to tell them They were like the family she always wanted. A father, a mother, a brother and a sister. But she only had her mother. and her mother was hundreds of miles away.
"Sure thing." Jerry said, bringing her back out of her thoughts. smiling at each other, Jerry left her apartment with the tool box to get the juice pr pop. Just as she closed to door after Jerry, she locked every lock and closed all the shades, unplugging her telephone, and switching her cell on vibrate. Sabrina stared at the envelope and slowly grabbing it, walked to the couch, ripping the white envelope apart, trying to contain her tears.
Sitting on the couch, her heart in her throat, she couldn't contain herself any longer. It was as she had feared, her mother was killed and she had Kyle's confession in her hands. but it was letter from her mother. the letter she was supposed to receive just before she had left her life behind. She left everything behind. even her mother.
