how well have we earned?

how long, though we try,

have we felt each whisper

and burned through each sigh?

and how many suns set

with life still at bay

with rivers so journeyed

what of the fair soldier

not waking to dream?

still there as a trooper

but lost to the seams.

what debt that we owe him

enjoyed in sweet breath

can pleasant him forward

this life to the next?

So yesterday morning I awake early and go into the kitchen to feed Woody.  While I'm in the kitchen preparing a dish of dog food Randy stumbles into the room.  His eyes are bloodshot and half closed.  He was looking still sauced from the night before drinking.  With this crooked grin on his face he asks me, "What's going on here?"  He's joking around but he always intimidated me for some reason.  So I respond, "Ah nothing just making some breakfast, want some?" and I show him the dog food.  Then he starts laughing and tells me in a whisper, "There's a straight boy passed out in my bed and he just peed himself".  I laughed and walked out of the room saying, "That's crazy!".

I had to tell Ryan because I knew he would be just as much in shock that he was.  On the way to the bedroom Randy pulls me out of the hall and into his room to show me this boy in his bed.  I wake Ryan up and tell him exactly what Randy told me.  He wakes up to go to the bathroom and gets cornered by Randy.

Apparently, Randy went out to the bar with a female coworker and she brought along her twenty-five year old brother who just moved to Pittsburgh.  While they were out this girl met some guys and asked Randy to watch her brother.  So Randy being Randy, he took this guy to a gay bar.  I guess the girls brother was drunk and making out with gay guys all night.  At the end of the night his sister couldn't be found so Randy brought him home to his bed.  I'm assuming they hooked up because they shared his bed.  It was during the night that this guy must have peed himself and his entire side of the bed.

In the morning the guy hung around for a little while making it awkward for me and Ryan.  We both don't like it when he brings strangers home like that.  We made small talk while Randy kept bringing up that he was making out with guys and straight by day, gay by night.  They guy didn't mind and he just laughed.  He had a muscular build and tattoos with a buzz cut.  Randy still couldn't get in touch with his sister so he called for a cab.  They exchanged numbers and he walked him out.

The rest of the day Randy went to work and Ryan and myself rented movies.  We stopped at Giant Eagle and I bought some sushi because I was dying for some.  We picked up some potato salad and ice cream and had a little cook out on the back fire escape.

Arthur and the invisibles was an alright movie.  I wanted to see Mia really bad because I love her.  David Bowie voiced a character and even playing a fiendish ugly looking elf he still sounded sexy.  Ryan wanted to hear Madge which was hard getting use to. 

The other movie was Children of the Corn.  I hadn't seen it since I was a youngster and I was disappointed.  I'm not even a fan of scary movies but 90% are God awful.  I could make better scary movies. 

...but they are wrong. I love Rush! Of course I am speaking of Brandon Rush. This was his line from last night: 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. He was 9-14 from the floor including 2-3 from three point range. The Jayhawks ran away with a 91-57 victory over Northern Arizona. The outcome was never in doubt as KU made 10 of their first 12 shots. Julian Wright added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Darnell Jackson chipped in with 12 points and 8 boards. Guard Sherron Collins looked good in his debut by scoring 14 points and dishing out 3 assists. Forward Darrell Arthur added 12 points, 6 boards and 3 blocks in his first game as a Jayhawk. KU will host Oral roberts in their next contest on Wednesday.
