KitsunenoTora

Eating: HUNGRY D:
Drinking: Water... my cup is empty. I should go get some more.
Playing: Rune Factory 2 - I WANT TO FINISH WINTER DAMMIT
Smelling: Lasagna~ Yum~
Body: MY ARM ACCCHHHES WRYYY ;_; I didn't do anything weird with it... but it hurts. :/
Should be doing: Writing my Jake/Kyle fic (dammit I just can't start it in a way I like), casting my vote for the Village Square's most recent writing contest (that I didn't participate in because of finals), finishing RG's Hanekoma picture, Taylor's Barrett/Kyle picture, filing a JP11 form so I can work next semester, and an endless stream of other things.... Oh, and I should call Cassie, we were going to do something today...
Happy about: END OF SEMESTER WOOT WOOT. Finals sucked, but at least I have a week off and only 3 classes next semester. Sucks that I have to go to school in the summer, but it's not a full class load, so I'm not going to complain.

KitsunenoTora is feeling: Excited, annoyed, angry, hungry

Oh wow. Look. It's been over a month since I've last touched this. XD

Anyway, I've had lots to blog about; some bad things, some good things, some average things. I just couldn't be bothered to. XP I don't remember ANY of the things I've wanted to blog about in the past month or so, so we'll just try our best.

I just got off the phone with my friend Cassie. We're going to go out and do something together. Most likely shopping. XD Mother's Day is Sunday, so it's not a bad idea. I'm excited, I haven't seen her in about... 3 months, maybe? Our class times don't match up very well. I never get to see her. :( I found her yesterday in the hall reading a book, and we chatted for a little while, but we didn't get to talk much because I was about to be late for work. ^^; She asked if I wanted to hang out, and we agreed that she would meet me yesterday afternoon at my house because I had borrowed her calculator last semester and wanted to return it. But she had to cancel (after coming to get her calculator, of course) because she had a band concert and needed to get ready for it. So we're going out today. :3

After the fact: Grr, I'm so disappointed in my town. :/ THERE'S NOTHING TO DO NUUU. We planned on going to Target to look for Mother's Day gifts, then to go to Novi to search for that international marketplace that my uncle told me about a couple months ago. Apparently she had tried to find it with Elise, but they couldn't find it. XD

We went to Target first, but there wasn't anything that either of us thought our mothers would be interested in. We browsed the games section for a few minutes, but that store's selection is shit, so it didn't take long. XD I did end up finding something I wanted, though: Guitar Hero 1. I only have II, and I haven't played I in forever. :D I'll have to get my guitar from my dad's place and play it soon~

She got some random game I don't remember... I think it was a MySims thing for the DS. I dunno.

After that we headed for Novi, but traffic was AWFUL. Bumper to bumper all the way there. So after sitting in traffic for a few we gave up and headed toward West Bloomfield. I kind of wanted to go to Marvin's Mavelous Mechanical Museum (best arcade evar) to play some games and see if one of our friends were working, but Cassie didn't seem fond of the idea. She had been to Borders earlier that day too, so that idea was shot down as well. XD We ended up across the street at Best Buy. browsing more games (I was tempted to buy Fable, but the package was vandalized so I didn't bother) and looking at phones. I need to get one soon, if I pass my driver's test on Saturday I'll be getting my license (finally) and a car, and it's just easier to have one for school. I couldn't decide, and I wasn't planning on buying one just right then, so I just picked up some brochures. I've got to look at a couple of different plans and decide what I can afford, since I'll be paying for it myself, in addition to buying my own gas. I need more hours at work, or another job. ^^; After that we couldn't think of anything else to do, so she invited me to come to her house sometime eventually and we went home. :/

So, like I said, my driver's test is Saturday. 7 am. DX Ugggh, who wants to take a driver's test at 7 am. DX But that's the only time they had available that I wasn't busy, so that was the one I had to take. I need my license, it's not like I can take a bus or something, and my mom is being run ragged picking up my sister and I at random times of day. XD Plus, it'll give me more freedom to do what I want without having to wait for my mom or dad to take me. :D I'm a bit nervous though, hopefully I'll be able to get up and not be too groggy. XD

We just got our phone fixed today~ Finally, it's been going haywire for over a week now. :/ We couldn't get calls in (only occasionally you would catch it at the right time and it would go through), and there was a horrible loud buzzing noise that made it impossible to hear anyone. Plus, we also got digital cable~ We have so many channels now~ Plus, it has RADIO. How awesome is that. I was listening to the rock and classical channels this morning. XD There's a really heavy metal channel too, but I only turned it on for a second and didn't want to listen to it. XD Sorry, heavy metal is not my thing. XP Plus, my mom absolutely hates the stuff (classic rock, opera, and oldies for her only), so it was out of the question. XD

But, keeping to the balance of our house, right after the phone was fixed and our cable was upgraded, my mom discovers that the toaster is broken. :/ It won't work, at all. You press down the lever and nothing happens, the light doesn't even come on. Stupid piece of trash, it's not even a year old. :/ I wonder what happened to it.

Oh, OH~ I think I should mention this. XD Last week, I got to talk on the phone with Taylor~ <3 Woo~ XD It was nice. Her voice is verrrrry mature sounding. D: She sounds so much older than she actually is, it was surprising. Of course, the phone was on the fritz then, so I had to jam the earpiece to my ear to hear her, but it was still nice~ She just told me now she's busy with homework, so I won't ask to call her tonight, but I want to again~ She talked to Shadow on the phone too, right after we hung up, but apparently she couldn't stop giggling as soon as he said hello. Silly girl. XDD Apparently Shadow's voice is very deep and cute (according to Taylor, of course.XD), but Shadow keeps on denying it. He says it's disturbing in its deepness. I called bullshit, and demanded that he let me call him so I could decide as an unbiased third party, but it never happened. XD I dunno~ Maybe someday, but we really don't get along fabulously, so I doubt it. XD We don't fight or anything, we do get along, we just don't have much in common at all.

Pretty much everyone in the forum has been sick in the past week or two. :/ Yuki and Usagi have gotten flu-like colds, Mima was sick, and now Noah is too. Plus, Raven has been having to go to the doctor's. I don't know what for exactly though, but it worries me. :( Apparently he's been weak or something? I think he said on Tuesday that the doctor had told him to start eating more.. As a result, his parents have been limiting his computer time and making him rest, which I don't mind, but I'm wondering exactly what's going on, because he hasn't told us anything much. He only gets on really late at night (for me, anyway), posts once or twice, and then gets off. D: Grrr.

Something nice (and fun) happened last night though. XD I finally got to finish up a Conversation thread and start one myself~ Woot~ XD I like starting new threads. Usagi and I spammed it at the end, it was fun. XD We go through those thread like I DON'T KNOW WHAT, though. O.o We're on number 6 already. We started number five on... April 10th, I believe, and started the new one late last night. XD;;; NOT EVEN A MONTH. THAT HAS TO BE A NEW RECORD. 8D It would have been finished today if we hadn't spammed it, anyway. Dai and Taylor assisted in the beginning, but it was allllll Usagi and me the last two pages. It was FUN, MAN. 8DDD~ Usagi is a lot of fun to spam with, she comes up with the most random funny stuff. XD

Oh, and in addition to finishing off the 5th Conversations thread, I also changed my penname. I've never been particularly happy with it, but I could never think of anything I liked better. Well, now it matches my username here. :D Taylor didn't want me to do it, but after hearing what I was going to change it to she said she was okay with it. XD She just wanted to keep the relevancy of her nickname for me. I like the Kitsune part, just not the Tsukikari part so much anymore. I found that word when I was trying to find a penname, so I just used it. Plus, it also just so accidentally happens to be one of my irl friend's nickname, so I always felt like I was copying her or something. She was the main driving force behind me joining the site (and deviantart), so I always felt like a copycat. :/ But not so much anymore~ (Although she WAS the one who suggested the tora part to me. XD) It means "The Fox's Tiger," by the way.

I finally got access to my grades today. I GOT A B IN CHEMISTRY, BITCHES. A B! I couldn't believe it. XD Horray for extra credit tests and FUCK ALL EASY finals worth lots of points, woot. XD I was failing all the way until the final, but that extra credit and the test just BOOSTED ME UP MAN~ Of course, though, my Algebra and English classes suffered because of all my Chemistry stress, and I ended up with B-s in each of those, but ehhh. I PASSED CHEM BITCHES. XDDDD <3

And of course, I got an A in Government. I wonder why I even bothered buying the book for that class, I just skimmed it the days before the test. I have no idea how anyone could do bad in that class, he gave out TONS of extra credit (seriously if you took advantage of every oppourtunity you could just fail pretty much everything and then do the extra credit and pass with a B), and the tests were SO EASY. Anyone with half a brain could answer those. I got by with mostly just his failtastic lectures and my shitty memory. XD

I've had some kind of "artistic slump" lately. I can't draw anything without it looking awkward and wrong. I can't start the fanfic I've had swimming around my head for about a month now. I have two thrown out drafts of the first chapter, one of which is only half done. I just can't start it in a way I think is well done. :/ I could probably do all the middle parts no problem, it's just the starting it that I'm having a problem with. It's frustrating. I keep up dreaming new scenes and cute ideas for the fic, but it's not going anywhere if I don't start it. But everything I come up with is boring, I don't see how it could capture any reader unless they came looking for the yaoi. It's going to be an epic tale (love story, of course XD), but that will be pointless if the first chapter is boring and doesn't attract anyone.

....Amusingly, I think I'm pretty much the only yaoi fic writer in the Rune Factory 2 fandom, sans one fic that I apparently inspired someone to write (it's dedicated to me, rofl. XD The author is such a spazz, I talked to her for a bit. Too bad it sucks, honestly. :/ She's not a very good writer). But my fic was just a pure fluff oneshot, nothing serious. This fic that I've been trying to work on is going to be a serious romance, and I'm going all the way. XD It's probably going to be the first Jake/Kyle fic, I haven't seen one posted. It's also going to be my first time writing a lemon, fweee~ (Lol I'm such a perv~) Well, except that little snippet Taylor and I tag teamed on a couple months back. That was HILARIOUS, especially with who it was on. XD We were having a forum shipping creation bonanza, and had created a shipping for Dai and Raven. Earlier (or was it the day before?) Dai had written one of his purple prose-filled yaoi shorts, and it offended whoever it was written on, I don't remember who. Mima got pissed, rofl. XD So Taylor and I gave in to the temptation and tag teamed on him and wrote one ourselves. Poor Raven, caught in the crossfire. XD We scarred him for life, we did. But he knew it was all in jest, so it ended okay~ XDDD

THIS IS INSANELY LONG SO I'M GOING TO END HERE, OKAY~? :D Hopefully I won't take a month to update this again. XD

Goodnight, digital abyss (and Dixie).

Day of Fun

If you're a regular reader, you've certainly heard mention of my favorite little guy....Clayton. Well, Clay turned 5 in the beginning of April and in light of this "big boy" birthday, I decided that he and I should do something special. Instead of some lame gift, I took him out for an entire day of fun, no parents or little brothers allowed!

We started out our day by visiting the Twin Cities Model Train museum. It was really cool, for both of us. They have miles of tiny tracks and they run multiple trains at a time (the most we saw was five, but they have dozens of trains.). Clay thought it was fun to chase a train around the entire track and watch its route; which, when you're 5 is probably a whole lot of fun.

Of course, being Clay, he had about a billion and one questions, most of which I couldn't answer. I did my best and read the signs posted around the room (as to how fast they go....there was a sign to figure it out, but that wasn't math I could do in my head....) but model trains are really not my forte. So we found the guy who runs the model trains and I let Clay at him.

Here Clay is by the switchboard peppering the guy (you can see his arm/sleeve on the edge of the picture) with questions. After about 6 or 7 minutes of solid questions, the guy finally ran out of answers for curious Clay and eventually shot me a "help me!" look, so I convinced Clay that it was time to go. I thought it was funny that he can even exhaust the experts with his curiosity--his poor parents!

After that, we headed off to lunch at Wendy's--Clay's choice. He got a happy meal with a kids deck of cards for playing Crazy 8's. Which was then the focus of our conversation from there to our next stop. "Why is it called Crazy 8s?" "How come the 8s are crazy?" "Is there a game for crazy 1s?" (and 2s and 3s and 4s, etc.) "How do you play?" "Is it fun?" "Why is it fun?" "Do you like it?" "Why do you like it?" "How do you know how to play?" "Who taught you?" "Who do you play with?" "Does your sister know how to play?" and on and on and on....that is really only a fraction of the conversation that we had about Crazy 8s. He is truly the most inquisitive child, he literally cannot stop until he feels he has learned every aspect of the thing he is focused on.

Then we got to the movie. Monsters vs. Aliens. Which I decided that we'd go see in 3D because we could and I haven't seen a 3D movie in forever. Actually, the last time I saw one they still had cardboard glasses with one blue lens and one red lens (remember those?). They're way more updated now. Of course, in telling Clay that we were going to see a movie in 3D, I then had to try to explain the concept of 3D to him-which I did, though rather poorly. But he figured it out when the movie started. He was full of questions once it began, but fortunately, the Saturday matinee is filled with dads and kids (I am guessing weekend dads who don't know what else to do with the kids all day) so it wasn't a big deal if we talked about it during the movie. Plenty of kids in there talking....plenty.

Next we stopped at my house to let my dog out and for Clay to change his clothes (he was covered with bright, orange powdered cheese from the cheese popcorn I bought him). Then, as we were driving to the next destination, Clay was pretty quiet in the back seat. He hadn't napped all day, so I was content to let him rest and process, but I still wanted to check on him, so I made a quick peek at him.

And that's what I saw. He was riding in the car, wearing his 3D glasses. I was able to snap a picture over my shoulder while driving. How freaking cute is that?

Then, because he saw me take the picture, he wanted to take one of me, soafter we got to Maplewood Mall and parked, we did this:

Is that cute or what?

Then we were off to the arcade. This was the part of the day that Clayton was most looking forward to. He loves video games but has never been to an arcade before. We played pretty much every game in there and many of them more than once. Clay really liked the violent games, shooting games and the game where you pressed a button and punched the ducks and the one where to take a mallet and hit the creatures (sharks) as they pop up out of their holes. Boys sure are different. Me, I just wanted to play Skee Ball.

Then we did a motorcycle racing game together where he beat me soundly. For real....I don't let him win, he just was better at it than me. He has awesome hand-eye coordination, which I really don't.

Then he did a snowmobile racing game:

And I just love the look of intense concentration on his face right there. He won that game, too. Came in first place. It amazes me that he's actually that good at them, it isn't like he's played them all before or anything.

After winning our 375 tickets (plus the 40 that some guy gave us just to be nice) we headed off to buy our "prizes". I let Clay pick out whatever he wanted and I think even he thought they were lame because he had trouble spending them all. But we did and then we were done at the arcade.

We made a quick pit stop at the carousel where one of us got to ride for free. I am not sure who, but the guy only charged us for one ticket but still let us both in.

Fortunately, I was smart enough to get a picture before the ride started, because once it's going, it is pretty tough to do:

See? I guess movement doesn't agree with my cameraphone. Ah well, this is still cute, even though it's blurry.

After leaving the mall, we headed across the street to Toys-R-Us, which was a special request that Clay made. He had gotten $25 for his birthday and in an effort to teach him about money his parents told him he could spend it on anything he wanted. Well, we went to the store to spend his dough. We were in there for a LOOOOONG time, as we had to go up and down every single aisle, with Clay pointing at things that struck his fancy and going, "can I afford that?" Yikes! He had originally said that he wanted someting from Planet Hero, so that's what we were looking for. Clay finally had to ask someone because we couldn't find them, and that's where he found his dream toy. It's some sort of space station for his action figures to play on. It cost $24.98 and when I told him he could afford it his whole face lit up and he tried to grab this giant box off the shelf. I helped him and we headed up to pay.

By the way, while wandering through all these aisles, I managed to find a toy that I just couldn't live without. A Tom Brady action figure! No kidding! It's awesome. Clay thought it was hilarious that I was buying myself a toy. He kept saying, "but you're an adult!"

So, as we're waiting in line to pay, the lady in front of us is standing there with her (roughly) 3-year-old. Clay is hammering me with questions about my toy. "Why are you buying it?" "What are you going to do with it?" That kind of thing. I told him that Tom Brady is my favorite football player and that's why I was buying it. He wanted to know why he's my favorite, so I said, "because he's really cute and I love him."

There was a moment's pause and then Clay looked at me and said, "you can't love him, you don't even know him." The lady in front of us burst out laughing (clearly she had been listening in) and looked back at Clay, kind of measuring him up. I think she was dreading the years to come....when they start to get smarter than you. As for me, I just sort of stood there, put in my place by a 5-year-old. After a moment I eventually told Clay that he was right, I don't really love him, but I sure do like him alot. And that seemed good enough.

We left the toy store with about a 15 minutes left to get home, which was perfect. So perfect, in fact, that as we passed a Dairy Queen, we had just enough time to get us each a Dilly Bar (Mine, chocolate-his, cherry) to cap off our perfect day.

As we were driving home I asked Clay what his favorite part of the day was and he said, "beating you at those video games" without missing a beat. He really does crack me up. Then he asked me what my favorite part was and I said, "spending time with you."

And that's true. I can't wait for our next special day.

36 days.

A Fun and Nice Day

Well our plans changed up.  DeLaney threw a straight up PMSING fit over not seeing a certain film and Coltin was throwing a temper tantrum about not being able to hit the arcade AFTER the movie.  So we went to the mall theater.

After those lil fits, we were good to go!  I dropped off the food I usually have left over from cooking when Randy isn't home to Father Mike, filled the van up, grabbed some cash and we got to the Mall in time to get tickets and go grab something to eat.

We hit the arcade where Coltin managed to get himself 80 tickets to cash in before the movie and we walked into a VERY packed movie theater just in time to grab the last few seats for Alvin and The Chipmunks.  Coltin had already seen it with his Dad but was okay with seeing it again.  After the movie we hit the arcade again so DeLaney could finish spending her last tokens and cash in her tickets.  I cashed in mine too:P:D  You KNOW I had to get $5 bucks to play the games also didn't ya!:P

After the last stop at the arcade, the kdis and I wondered down to Barnes & Nobles.  I really didn't need anymore books, I have such a HUGE pile of to read books anyway.  But I look at it this way at times, my to GET list is even larger!:D  But I was a good girl, we walked out with 3 calanders.  One for each kid and another one for me.  DeLaney was "nice" enough to point out I already had a new Celtic Blessings calander what was I going to do with the new Celtic Mandala calender.  I promptly told her you can NEVER have too many calenders in the house and I could put it in my computer room.  She shut up then!  I swear she is like her Daddy more and more every day with her logical thinking!  I guess if she is the spitting image of her Daddy it is okay for her to think like him.  As long as she doesn't get to logical and to prissy she and I will get a long just fine as she gets older.  But her PMSing is going to get put to a stop FAST!  I dont' give a rats ass she hasn't started her cycle, she has the acne already (yes my baby girl has started gettin facial acne!), and the tude.  She was told point blank today after her lil fit, that there is only ONE BITCH in the family and that is ME!  I also picked up the book Little Women.

My one and only New Year's Resoluation this year is for every 3 normal books (not counting smutt books-I can read an entire weeks publishing of those with out blinking in a day if you let me!) I read; I will read a "classical" book and then a "modern" book.  My sister, pointed out my libary collection of books is more along the line of a History, Anthropology, Religious, Philosphy College level collection NOT to mention soft core porn collection of the certain smutt book series I keep!  So if I want my kids to read other things, I have to show them Mommy can too.  Randy is NOT happy for every "Classical" and "Modern" Fiction or Non-Fiction book I have to read he has to do the same thing and then we swap if we choose different books!  He is saying he doesn't have time.  He is findign out that when he is home I can find him the time!:D  I can also find him time when he is on the road!  Read one or two chapters before you eat.  He eats then he sleeps, so he has to read before he eats!

After Barnes & Nobles and wenching a lil bit to the store manager about our store's crappy assortment of Address Books, we wondered down to Hallmark so I could pick up a new address book.  I got one.  I am not happy with it but at least Randy can figure it out if he needs to use it and I picked up extra inserts.  When you have a LARGE family with the majority of them being either R's, N's, and L's you run out of space easily!    I also wenched a bit to that store manager about their crappy assortment of address books also.  She at least explained that the majority of them went bye bye the day after Christ Mas.  Barnes & Noble's only comment was we have a HUGE selection of Journal type books!

So we loaded up and started heading down the interstate to cross the river and go home.  And for some odd reason I said nope right at the first exit to So. Sioux!  I took it!  Coltin asked if we were going to stop and see Granny and I said nope that is tomorrow.  We went right by her nursing home and I pulled up right in front of the Pet /Grooming/Boarding Place!  Where DeLaney promptly reminded me of her father yet again!

"MOM!  Your NOT allowed to go to any pet store or animal auction with out Daddy, because you have a bad habit of bringing home more animals!  Daddy said so!"

I ignored her and said if I walk out with something your Father will get over it!

They had an adorable puppy selection and I was VERY tempted to get the one and only Male Sheltie they had left.  But I didn't.  See I am not a real big dog fan.  I love them but they are sooooooooooooooo much more needier then cats.  And if you leave for a weekend or a week you either A have to take them with you or B find someone to take care of them or C board them.    Plus I dont' really like small dogs.  They are so much more in need of care then bigger dogs.  I looked at the kitties they had.  They had two adorable fluffy orange tabby kittens about 6-7 months in age.  Of course DeLaney wnated one of those.  Coltin honed in on the 3 identical short haired orange tabby kittens about teh same age as our twin black kitties.  I said NO MORE CATS!  We have a female that will give us a litter or two don't worry about getting anymore cats.  Their fish selection was pretty crappy but they get cleaned out for the holidays since they are on of two pet stores in the tri state area that carry exotic fish.  Of course atticsmouse would have went for the rodent selection for her snakes:P:D  She can have them.  They carry a lot of feeder mice.  I guess a lot of folks in the area have snakes:P  Fromt here I wondered back to the front of the store where the birds where at.  DeLaney wanted me to get finches.  I hate those lil things.  Plus they drive my cats batty.  Not going to get anymore finches.  Parkettes I have two.  Don't want NO MORE!

Then I honed in on the Cocketiels and Doves!  They had FANCY cocketeils!  Guess what we have in the house including a new bird cage!  I got myself a Fancy cockteil!  Yay me!  They were hand raised but like most pet stores even a smaller one they don't get to handle the birds like they should.  And our new addition to the family is really scared at the moment.  I made them clip his wings for me.  Usually I dont' clip my cockteil's wings but that is how I lost the first two!  One escaped from his cage while hanging outside and the other one escaped out the door thanks to DeLaney and Coltin's lil friends in TX!  So he was pretty pist when I got him home and pretty scared.  I took him out of his home cage, had his wings clipped, and put him in a brand new cage.  Then I introduced him to the dinning room on top of the sewing table before I clean a spot off for him in the computer room!  Shadow and Socks the two older cats could have cared less. Pisser, Brothers, and Grimm were extatic!  Another cage to climb on and bounce off of!  Sin Kitty is outside hoing around again so I can't wait to see his reactoin to another bird in the house.  Spud the dog is a jealous creature and is barking at the bird periodically!  Tweek and Tweeter the parakeets are happy over another bird in the hosue!  They are twittering a storm up and trying to get otu the side of their cage to go visit the new baby!

And yes, before atticsmouse can ask me, I told Randy.  My reasoning for buyin another animal is:  He is getting 150-250 dollar boots in January for work, plus I am paying a good chunk of our defeered payments on HIS truck off with his bonus in January so HIS truck is paid off on time this year!  My bird and cage is a LOT less expensive then his boots could ever be!:P:D  His comment was:

"So, do you have a place in the barn ready for me to sleep since you keep bringing in more animals?"

Smart ass man I tell you!

I cooked dinner, worked on laundry ( I swear I am always working on laundry!), and the kids and I sat down and played dominoes.  They are in bed and I am rambling on and on and on again:D:P:D
