Animal Cruelty @ MindSay

Hey guys, I've been busy, up to weird and yes....random things. I have involved myself in the education of international animal cruelty. I'm talking about extreme cruelty that makes even the sport of hunting seem to be a very kind practice. I'll save details for later.


I hope all of my friends have been well. I wanted to post this to anybody local in the DC area. DC VegFest will be on Sept 12th. I'm not a vegan, but after watching that FOOD, Inc documentary, even I....a true meat lover, have less taste for meat now. It was eye opening.





 

    Normally, I don't post personal stuff on this blog. But you will NOT believe the day I've had!

   We were going by a storage unit and smelled pet urine....some jerk locked his dogs in the storage unit! HE HAD PUPPIES IN THERE! For two freaking hours!!!!!  Mom and I raced inside and called the cops, who in turn gave us the number for animal control, who weren't at the freaking phone! Those dogs could have died and there was nothing we could have done becaue those eejits weren't at the phone!

     Anyways, the guy who had a unit not far from the unit where the dogs were in told us that he had put his dogs in there at 11:30am. ELEVEN THIRTY!!!!  Well, anyways. When the scuzzball picked up the dogs our maintenance guy was out there and told him that he can't leave his dogs in the unit like that.  The guy claimed that he was going to only be gone for a couple of minutes....that's the biggest crock I've ever heard!

 

     On top of which, we had a really bad thunderstorm out here which knocked out our hot-water heater so we've had to deal with no water, and hot weather. To top off this "gorgeous" day, I found out that my exbf, Ricky, has colon cancer. :( This day is crap!!!!!

 

I was so glad that our maintenance guy handled it for us...I didn't want to be in the same room as him. When I'm livid I tend to get violent and I didn't want be sent to jail for breaking his nose.  Let's just say that I'll be doing Tae-Bo tonight for exercise!

New York Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez has been caught cockfighting by way of a video posted to YouTube, according to The New York Post.  The video, which has since been taken down, shows Martinez along with Hall of Fame pitcher Juan Marichal throwing two roosters into a cockfighting ring.

However, don't expect another Michael Vick-like fiasco to emerge over this.  The cockfight took place in the two pitchers' native country, The Dominican Republic, where cockfighting is completely legal.

Nonetheless, given Vick is serving 23-months in jail for dogfighting and has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL, should Major League Baseball punish Martinez in some way?

I didn't. But because of my love of horses, others told me. It will no doubt haunt me for some time to come. So I share this not to share my doom and gloom, but in hopes that our Mindsay community may rally around this little foal with prayer, incantations, good energies, and if you have it, monetary donations would certainly help for his critical care.

As for me, I think HANGING horse thieves is a simply DANDY idea. I kid you not...anyone who would do such a thing to an animal, will most assuredly do the same to another human being, if they haven't already. If we would hang such demons in human disguise before their cruelties progressed from beast to man, at least the beasts' sufferings would not have been in vain...having revealed the true nature of the monster, civilization may rid itself of such vermin before it spreads.
