Young Boy Gets Final Wish of Marrying His Love
Reece Fleming, an 8-year-old boy suffering from leukemia, "married" his school sweetheart, fulfilling his last dream before his death.

He had created a list of ambitions he wanted to achieve before the end of his life, which included taking a ride in a Ferrari, spending a day at a fire station, and having a pirate-themed birthday party. The last thing on his list was saying "I do" to the girl he admired, Elleanor Pursglove.

Reece had proposed to Elleanor several times, and she finally answered yes after learning he only had a few weeks left to live. The plan was to have a vicar present for their vows, however with Reece's condition worsening, the mock ceremony was held at his home. Reece got to wear his favorite shirt, while Elleanor wore a wedding gown.

"You can't really describe in words what it was like. Reece and Elleanor were both very quiet, but there was a lot of feeling in the room," said Reece’s mother, Lorraine.

The young couple exchanged vows, rings, and were even given a marriage certificate. At the end of the ceremony, Reece told his mother, "Mum, I can go now."

After battling the cancer for four years of his life, Reece died the following day.

"Elleanor is missing him a lot. They were both really pleased with the ceremony. It was very special - he just kept smiling at her," said the girl's mother.

Dreams, dreams, dreams...

Today I had a conversation at work with some collegues, about dreaming and doing what you like...and it came out that noone of us do what he really wants. Me, fot example. I do something totally different from what I've learned for and from what I'd like to do. I really think, your workplace and your work MUST be something special for you! Something you really like to do. Work must not be something for what you'll be sick!

That's the reason I'm doing many different things, to find my way.
And I'll find it.

once upon a time..

What did you dream as a child?

It's funny to think back to how your mind worked as a kid. To what your dreams were; what you aspired to. When you can pinpoint the exact moment those dreams were shattered. No, I don't mean that.. I take that back.

My dreams always changed as I was growing up. When I was little I loved drawing and always wanted to be an artist. No matter what, I would be an artist. I'd draw for a living. That didn't last long. I went through the regular phases - a doctor, a vet, a teacher, an actress. The teacher idea stuck a little longer. I wanted to be a primary school teacher. Still, it fluctuated daily.

As for a family, I always wanted kids. I'd never decided on what age I'd wanted to have my first. I don't know, maybe twenty five, twenty six? I'd have a little girl first then a little boy three years later. One of each would be great, that's all I wanted. When I was little I always wanted to call my daughter April and my son Joshua. Yes, seriously. Joshua. You can appreciate why I changed my mind.

I had dreams that one day I'd tour the world. I'd live in different countries; America mainly. I'd have a great big house in America. Near the beach. I've always wanted to live near the beach; I still do.

I wanted to be famous; but doesn't every kid?

Dreams... what are they now?
