learning to dance..
one of the dance themes for convention is "west coast swing," which will be in two short weeks.  now, the only swinging i've really done in any capacity (which is like, a total of maybe five times for a few hours each go), is east coast, or rock step, triple step, triple step..and now i find that west coast is one step, two step, rock step? :S luckily though, you can swing to an unexpectedly wide variety of music, so this dance will probably have enough variation to keep the bump 'n' grind types (also me) interested.  i'm a lot better at that kind of dancing, anyway..though i do still need to relearn the my love dance, which has been sort of my trademark self-embarrassment entertainment at social gatherings.  could probably stand to brush up on my raving as well..

then again, out of a population of maybe several hundred at this dance, how many will know how to swing at all, let alone west coast? not that that really makes my not being able to do so very well any better, but..i figure since it's historically been a primarily american/white people thing, it would be amusing for someone like myself to actually become good at it.  hence the watching of many youtube videos..and i've always got solo charleston as a backup ;)

in other news, still no news on the job front; been four weeks so it's time to get back to some serious looking.  and say, what's up with people who never go idle on aim, turn off their typing indicator, and/or change their statuses too often on fb?  a) it's nice to know when someone's actually there or not there on aim, so if i need to run or only say something really quick, i'm not bloody sitting there waiting for a response i'm not sure i'm even going to get, and b) twitter is for people who want to update every time they take a piss or scratch their nose—fb statuses are for what's going on every so often.  if i wanted to know exactly what you're doing at that second, i can call.  or txt (if i ever get a plan), since most people seem to be more willing to answer those than actual calls.  how ironic..

Welcome!

You know what I hate about AIM and Youtube? I always get these dumb chain letters that say " You will die in 5 minutes unless you send this to 10 people. If you do, you will learn to fly and get the love of your dreams." Wow. I'm just going to get wings in 5 minutes and start flying right? Whee, I'm gonna try to fly! ****! I landed on my face again!

So, welcome to my humor blog. I blog funny videos, skits, and even more. So enjoy it while it lasts.  Smiley

Chat rooms

All this talk about chat rooms and interacting with people online got me thinking about going back to a chat room. I say go back because I hadn't been in a chat room for years, something like eight years. I say hadn't because in the last few days I went to a chat room run by AOL.

What I found there was nothing new really. The vast majority of people there are guys loking for ladies to chat with. There is an overwhelming lack of actual chatting and talking going on. Granted, I was in the "20s Friends and Flirts" room, this may be a contributing factor to the lack of meaningful chatting.

Perhaps I may experiment by going into different types of chat rooms. What do you think about that??

Damage Control

Let's start this off with good news. First, I am off today, so I could sleep in as long as I want. Which lasted till around noon. When I finally got up, I only went as far as the end of my bed though. Turning on the TV and tuning into Olympic coverage since there is really nothing else on.

My mother got home from work around 3 PM. They brought home corn. Oh boy, Corn is ok, but let just be honest . Um, it's just corn isn't it? What so special about it? Other then corn for dinner which I only ate one ear anyway. I had a couple hot dogs.

After dinner it was lawn mowing time. My father had got gas when he went to pick up my mother. Good, no arguing about it this time. Guess his back was feeling ok, or he didn't feel like arguing with me. So, before he finished eating , I went out and started doing the lawn.  I was almost finished with my part of the front yard, before he got outside. I finished my part of the lawn long before he finished his, and was inside with my mother, helping move furniture around so she could vacuum.

While finishing up vacuuming, he even said "thanks for helping with the lawn" which was sorta shocking. Guess he woke up on the kind side of the bed for once.

Anyway, now that all the house work, and yard work is finished. It's back to Olympic coverage for the majority of the night. I'll be visible online when I feel like chatting, and on as late as I want, as I don't work till tomorrow afternoon.
