Today was fun. The church service was great, and the Sermon was incredible.
After church my Dad was randomly like, "I wanna check out the new Guitar Center."
So I was like heck yes.
And we went home, I changed out of my shirt, and we left. We got to Guitar Center (which was amazingly huge, compared to the other guitar stores in Greenville) and I immediately saw a guitar I wanted to play. Standard Telecaster with an Ash body. BEAUUUUUTIFUL sounding guitar. Then I walked over into the humid room to check out the acoustic guitars. There was this BEAUTIFUL Takamine cutaway 6 string in there that I played with for about 20 minutes.
The EG334-SC:

There were also a ton of beautiful sounding Martins and Taylors in there as well.
But I left that section and went to the section where I could actually buy things.
I got myself some Dunlop Tortex picks, light and medium, along with a new Glass slide, a tuning peg winder, an application for a job at Guitar Center, and a small pamphlet on the proper playing of slide guitar (mainly got it because it listed all of the open tunings and all the partial chords based off of them).
I'm thinking about selling my GNX-3 pedal. For $250. It's a great pedal, don't get me wrong, but I'm thinking about setting up a custom line up consisting of about 10-15 different small pedals so I can get EXACTLY what I want. There are tons of things on the GNX-3, but it's so freakin complicated...I just don't know what to do with it other than play with the preset channels.
Or maybe I just need to read the instructions :P
I am so anxious to get goin on our vacation.
Just a few more hours left in the day today, then it's all of Monday.
But then my vacation starts on Tuesday, because that's when Tommy comes over and spends the night. We leave early Wednesday morning to go to Isle of Palms for two nights, and then leave on Friday for Edisto, to stay in my grandparents' condo that they've rented out. Then the next day it's up to our original vacation spot, Hilton Head Island...Ohhhh yessss.
I can't wait.
Much love and God bless,
