War on Christianity?
Crusader sm.JPG hosted for free by ImageShack

Okay let us try to at least pretend to be observant.

Secular Humanism under the guise of moral relativist organizations have been warring against Christianity, against Christian morality and the Christian inspiration for the rule of law in America for over half a century. Some of my fellow zealots may even place this Leftist war on Christianity at an even greater length of time, but I personally don’t have the time to do the research to pin point Secular Humanistic slow erosive acts against Christianity in America. Let us just say that legal actions that would have been unthinkable fifty years ago are becoming common in this early part of the 21st century.

Just a few days ago I posted about a Christian business was fined over six-thousand dollars for refusing to do a photo op for a same sex union ceremony in New Mexico. Evidently the State of New Mexico has made State level anti-discriminatory laws which unconstitutionally override the Federal Law in the First Amendment in which is stated specifically that Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion (thereof).

Let’s see if I can find some anti-Christian legal battles either instituted by the Government, the ACLU or the various deviant homosexual rights organizations (not necessarily in order).

Navy Lt Gordon James Klingenschmitt was court-martialed and booted out of the Navy for praying in the NAME OF JESUS.

Tyler Chase Harper in 2003 chose to wear tee shirts that said “I will not accept what God has condemned” and “Be ashamed, our school has embraced what God has condemned.” The Poway Unified School District chose to punish Harper for expressing Constitutional First Amendment Right to freely exercise his religious beliefs.

Mohammedans are provided special rooms and/or occasions to pray in Public and Collegiate level schools; however Brittany McComb was prevented from giving her Valedictorian speech in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2006 because it was known she was going to express her faith in Jesus Christ.

In 2007 the American Family Association sends out an Action Alert about the Senate and the House of Representatives working on legislation that would Pastoral or Ministerial sermons on the sinfulness of homosexuality a hate crime.

Here we are AGAIN with the Day of Silence garbage in 2008 in which many Public Schools across the nation will force student to learn that homosexuality and transgender lifestyles are not deviant. This is happening with impunity knowing the big money for litigation is with the homosexuals via homosexual organizations and especially the ACLU (the King pen of anti-Christianity).

I could on and on; nonetheless I have to mention Secular Humanist war against one of the most Holy Days of Christianity – Christmas. Way too many corporate store chains are falling into the same pit the Left has forced the government into, viz. censoring Christmas because it is Christian. The big Capitalists (and I not against Capitalism) want to be Leftie Politically Correct and make their Christmas dough at the same time. Every Christmas comes a controversy: no Santas; no Salvation Army bell ringers, the replacement of “Merry Christmas” with “Merry X-mas” or “Happy Holidays” and so on.

Is there a war on Christianity in America? You’re darn toot’in!

The latest stupidity in battling Christianity is an ACLU legal win in banning a quarter century school tradition of praying before Football Games at East Brunswick High School located in New Jersey. The Coach even tried to accommodate the ACLU by refraining from verbal prayer but having a student lead in a moment of silent prayer. The Court said NO!

Get a dictionary...
I’ve never been a big fan of the ACLU, but now I think they would do worse than your average Joe on “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” You may remember the infamous bathroom scandal involving Senator Craig of Idaho. Well, the ACLU has jumped into the fray claiming that people having sex in public bathrooms have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Okay, folks, time to grab a copy of Webster’s and look up what any third grader knows: public and private are OPPOSITES. Yes, yes, we have the right to hope that people won’t peek when we’re sitting on the throne, but kings and queens we are not. There are plenty of slits in which to peek, and many if not most people will peek under stall doors to check for occupants before entering. There is so little relative privacy that I wouldn’t even make a personal call in a public restroom, let alone have sex. If we’re honest, most of us go into restrooms with our blinders on. Out of courtesy we try to not see and hear what we might see and hear. We mentally block out the sights and sounds of the things that would embarrass us or others. If you’re nodding to that statement, then we agree that sexual congress (oh the irony of that word) in a public bathroom would take effort to ignore, and would therefore be anything but private. Behind a stall door is far different from “behind closed doors.” So folks, no trading stock tips, no revealing embarrassing medical conditions, and no intercourse in public bathrooms – not if you want those things kept private!!

Now praying gets 7 Christians arrested

H.R. 1592 and S. 1105 have not even become the law of the land and various metropolitan areas in America are harassing and arresting Christians for exercising their Constitutional right to free speech. This is in particular relationship to making a Christian presence known at public homosexual rallies and parades.

The Secular Humanistic and homosexual agenda has apparently gained favor in cities in which a Leftist slant is the political theme.

These police harassments and arrests have even alarmed the ACLU. I never thought I would see the day that the ACLU would team up with a conservative legal non-profit organization like the Alliance Defense Fund to do legal battle for Christian Free Speech.

If the ACLU and the ADF agree on something you must know there the public persecution of Christians is egregious.

Now praying gets 7 Christians arrested
Cops call holding Bibles while lying prostrate 'disturbing peace'

Christians have been arrested recently at "gay" festivals for nothing more than having a protest sign that is "wider than their torso," but now police have gone even further, targeting Bible-carrying ministers for praying on public property and for standing on a public sidewalk near a "gay" festival.

One of the new cases comes from
Elmira, N.Y., where police arrested seven Christians who went into a public park where a "gay" fest was beginning and started to pray, faces down, while holding their Bibles.

They were cited for "disturbing the peace," and Assistant Police Chief Mike Robertson told WND that the seven are accused of a "combination" of allegations under that statute, which includes the "intent" to cause a public inconvenience, any "disturbance" of a meeting of persons, obstructing vehicular or pedestrian traffic, or taking part in "any act that serves no legitimate purpose."

The second such case arose in
Wichita, Kan., where police arrested Spirit One Christian Center Pastor Mark Holick, who had received permission earlier from officers to be on the public sidewalk adjacent to the park where the festival was occurring but then was arrested doing exactly that.

Julian Raven, a street preacher, told WND his group of seven assembled to pray for three hours the night before Elmira's recent "pride" festival in promotion of the homosexual lifestyle.

"We have a legal right to be at an event held in a public square. We're not a hate group," he said. "We're Christians and we're going to be there to pray."

He said he contacted police, who told him he had no free speech rights in the public park.

"The female officer, she said, 'You're not going to cross the street. You're not going to enter the park and you're not going to share your religion with anybody in this park,'" he told WND.

"When she said that, for the first time in my life as a Christian, I felt now my freedom of speech is threatened or challenged," he said. "I was being told I could not share my religion with anybody in that park."

Raven said he told the officer "she was violating the Constitution that she had sworn to uphold, and she was very agitated and adamant, and couldn't look me straight in the eye."

Raven asked for the justification for such a threat and was not given a response.

He said his team of Christians then went into the park, holding Bibles over their heads to signify their subservience to God's Word, and lay on their faces to pray.

Within three minutes, police officers had put handcuffs on the seven, to the cheers of the homosexual crowd, he said.

He said a court date is pending for the seven July 23.

"I have the highest respect for the police officers. They have a very difficult job to do. But we were treated unfairly in a public setting. This was a hasty show of force. It was not called for," he said.

He said if the situation is left unchallenged, the city of Elmira will be in the position of being able to control the content of people's messages in a lawful assembly – or even thoughts if they are nearby.

"We didn't say boo to a goose, still we were arrested," he said.

The local newspaper reported the arrests came just "moments" after Elmira Mayor John Tonello delivered a speech "celebrating diversity."

And the actions prompted some immediate criticism from newspaper readers.

"I was appalled and disgusted by the gay stories strewn through the … paper. … What was even more disturbing was the way the city acted. Since when is it illegal to sit on the ground in a public park and recite Bible verses? Are they not protected by the same Constitution that allows gay people to have their gay pride event. These Bible thumpers had their constitutional right to free speech and assembly trampled on by the city. They should not have been arrested," said Kevin Raznoff.

Robertson told WND the Christians "certainly" have a right to assemble, but not on public property when there's an "organized" event there. Asked repeatedly about how the "disturbance" statute relates to First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech, he did not answer.

"Obviously, they caused a disruption to an event that was taking place," he said.

But Raven confirmed to WND the seven Christians did not approach a single person, did not speak to anyone and did not even make any audible statements until after they were arrested.

Pastor Holick's case in Wichita was even more drastic. He had gone, with a team from his church, to pass out flyers and pray at a recent "pride" festival held there.

He had checked with the police department and was told, "The sidewalk is your friend."

"Upon arriving we began to set up," he said. "Immediately, I was approached by WPD and told that we could not go into the park (a public park mind you where everyone else – except the Christians – was allowed in) and that we could not be on the sidewalk on that side of the street but that we could go to the other side of the street.

"In other words, one side of the street is open to Christians but the public park and the public sidewalk next to the park is not," he said.

But then Holick was arrested within about four minutes of his arrival.

"It is obvious that the WPD did not keep their word and that they wanted to arrest as quickly as possible. The First Amendment … was cast aside like so much garbage," he said.

"The sin is 'coming out' further and further and the church is now being pushed further and further back inside the four walls of the church building; we are the ones that are seen as 'the trouble makers.' The police arrest the Christians and allow all manner of perversion to flaunt itself in the streets of Wichita. And we the church … well … I'm not sure we care," he said.

Police alleged that they asked Holick five times to "leave" the festival, even though he never purchased the required admission fee or went in.

As WND reported, Holick already had been targeted by the Internal Revenue Service for the moral statements he posted on the church's sign.

Just a week earlier,
WND reported police in St. Petersburg, Fla., arrested five Christians for carrying signs "wider than their torsos" outside an officially designated protest area at that city's homosexual festival.

Pastor Billy Ball, Assistant Pastor Doug Pitts, Frankie Primavera and Josh Pettigrew, all of
Faith Baptist Church in Primrose, Ga., were arrested after leaving a small area set aside by city officials for protest activities. Bill Holt, of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Jefferson, Ga., was also taken into custody.

According to Lighthouse Pastor Kevin Whitman, the five men were told by police their signs were not allowed outside the protest area because they were wider than their torsos. When the men refused to put them away, they were arrested for violating a controversial city ordinance that governs permitted events.

As WND reported, St. Petersburg officials, following disturbances at a previous homosexual pride festival, implemented rules governing outdoor events that set aside "free speech zones," where protesters are allowed.

The resulting ordinance came under fire by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Alliance Defense Fund for being too broad. It allows the city to create prior restraints of speech on an event-by-event basis, with virtually no predictable limits. It also criminalizes certain free speech behavior around public events and authorizes the police to enforce breaches of permits – the penalty for such breaches being arrest.

Elderly acts of self -defense

Where is the outrage over the 70 yr old lady defending herself with a mini-baseball bat ???

Where is the ACLU, the Socialist Liberals (Democratic party), Jackson, Sharpton, Clinton, Hanoi Jane, Muslim organizations, Today news, CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, Washington Post ???

This old lady and other elderly people somehow have the idea that they can just randomly commit acts of self-defense. Where are the Liberal Judges that should be putting the elderly in prison…. What’s going on??

Has any one considered the fact that Muslim terrorist's, rapist's, perverts, serial killers or other hero’s of these organizations could be injured or hampered as a result of these beatings from the elderly.  This behavior may cause more elderly to engage in self-defense..

Where are the Green people?  This could increase the sale of mini-bats, meaning the murder of more tree's to make those bats.

What’s this Country coming too ???????????????

'ACLU Solstice Barn'
ACLU Solstice Barn (Univ of Texas Parody of Nativi hosted for free by ImageShack

A group of Conservative University of Texas Students embarked on a quest to build a politically correct Nativity Scene on their campus. I say “politically correct” because it was built to both satisfy and ridicule the ACLU.

Below is the WorldNetDaily article:

In tongue-in-cheek deference to the American Civil Liberties Union, students at the University of Texas displayed an "ACLU Solstice Barn" on campus, featuring politically correct figures.

"We've got Gary and Joseph instead of Mary and Joseph in order to symbolize ACLU support for homosexual marriage, and of course there isn't a Jesus in the manger," said Tony McDonald, chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas branch on the Austin campus.

The group, whose plans WND had reported earlier, installed the "crèche" on the West Mall of the campus for display yesterday and today.

McDonald told WND today the reaction by students to the display was overwhelmingly positive.

"Even some liberals got the humor in it and conceded certain positions the ACLU takes are out of touch with the mainstream of Americans," he said.

One visitor turned out to be the ACLU's top official in Texas, who, according to McDonald, "had to admit that it was humorous."

McDonald said quite a number of students aren't even aware of the ACLU, and members of his group that manned the display throughout the day had to explain the acronym.

The three Wise Men in the display were Lenin, Marx and Stalin, McDonald told WND, because ACLU founder Roger Baldwin, while leading the organization, was a backer of Soviet-style communism.

As director of the ACLU in 1934, Baldwin wrote an article entitled "Freedom in the U.S.A. and the U.S.S.R." in which he said "the Soviet Union has already created liberties far greater than exist elsewhere in the world." He later moderated his views but maintained a commitment to socialism.

The scene also featured a "terrorist shepherd" with a suicide-bomber belt and an angel with Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi's face, using a photograph of the soon-to-be speaker of the House from San Francisco. The Marx figure is holding a book with the title "Child Porn."

"The ACLU and other left-wing extremist groups are working diligently to destroy Americans' rights to the free expression of religion," said the Young Conservatives' Executive Director Joseph Wyly.

Wyly pointed to the city of Chicago's decision this week to ban advertisements for "The Nativity Story" movie from a local Christmas festival, fearing they might offend non-Christians.

"It's just more evidence that there is a war on Christmas being waged by the far-left in this country," he said.
