I do sincerely hope that Barach Obama will learn about the "Hidious Cruelty" in the performance of "Abortion!" Most people do not realize this, including the parents that choose it! Partial Birth Abortion is the "Most Hidious" of all! I believe that we aught to allow all beings to be born, and if they prove to be in a condition that can not be helped, and they are 'Truely suffering,' than "Humane Euthanasia" should be allowed! It is the "Human" thing to do!
The more that I get to know John Mc Cain, the 'less I like him personally! Especially after he chose for a running mate, that "Murderer of Defenseless Animals!" (Just the one to teach 'Ethics!') This Selfish, Thoughtless, and Non-Compassionate Low-Life does not 'know the meaning of the word Ethics!' Certainly, she is not 'Killing' because she 'Needs to!' It's just a "SPORT" don't you see, to take away another's "LIFE!" And just so that this creature can be 'More Abnoxious" she has a voice pitch that 'sears' your eardrums! Also, it certainly appears from his 'voting record' that John Mc Cain will continue along the same path as George Bush... Basically, more benefits for the rich, and less for the poor!
Yes, I might choose Obama over Mc Cain, for as the 'First black American President, I don't think that he would want to 'Let His People Down!' And he would, if he were a 'Bigoted' president! No one would forget it, and it would be another hundred years before anyone would 'Trust' another black president!
Besides, he can always be "Impeached" if he "Behaves like a racist!"
Certainly people of every race, admire "Martin Luther King," for he was "Not A Racest!" I wish that his name were on the Presidential Ballot in November. Perhaps Barach Obama should read some of his writings.
wala naman akong gaanong regrets, yun lang huli kong nabanggit, about being able to enjoy life at early age...
sabagay, me price at kapalit naman ang lahat ng bagay sa mundo.. here i am, somehow, medyo maganda ang career, sa social life nga lang nagkulang, pero babawi rin ako ! :-)
Anyway, that subject line is also a way to announce that, yes, people are reviewing the book right now and… well, they've been surprisingly positive.
This week at your local newsstand you can read about Everybody Hurts in both Nylon and Revolver. These magazines are very unlike each other. One of them is read by girls like this...

The other… ugh, well...

But both of their staffs seem to love our book. With that being said, if you want to know how you can get a Lower East Side hipster and a dust-tache sporting Chimaira fan in the same room, the answer is to simply leave a copy of our book in the corner. It warms the heart just knowing that.
However, that wasn't the first review that ran this week. On Tuesday, word came down that Penthouse also wrote about the book in their current issue, which meant Leslie and I were going to have to plunk down eight bucks to see Everybody Hurts mentioned alongside an article about the greatest celeberity sex tapes, like, ever!
The writer at Pentohouse also liked the book (maybe it was all the Suicide Girl references?) and Leslie and I were both pleased with the mention, but I gotta say, I think the relationship between me and the guy at my corner bodega is forever changed.
For the past year, it's been strictly business: One diet coke, every four hours. But on Tuesday, it became a diet coke and an expensive porno mag and, dude, the man behind the counter was amped. He smiled approvingly as then handed me my purchase in a think black plastic bag, while making me feel like the biggest creep walking down Manhattan Avenue. Which is saying something.
Anyway, I'm sure it's nothing a couple warm showers won't cure. So then, moving on, the big news this week is that we will be reading our book to you, the people who theoretically want to hear us read our book. This will happen first, as hinted at in last week's post, in Cleveland. This will be the fist time that we've ever done this, so we'd really love to have some people who are excited about the book sitting front and center. That being said, here's the info you'll need:

Oh, and did I mention that we have a book coming out this Tuesday? How crazy is that?
More soon,
TK
#5 - Jennifer Garner almost taking a spill as she walked out to present an award
This would have ranked higher if she actually hit the deck.
#4 - Lauren Bacall going through the early stages of alzheimer's while trying to read off the teleprompter
It was sad but fascinating like watching a train wreck. Bacall does look pretty good for being older than the steam engine though.
#3 - The Swiftboating of the Best Actress nominees
Especially liked the Dame Judi Dench part.
#2 - Dolly Parton's hillbilly hoedown performance
The big jugs, the southern twang, the face like The Joker...Dolly is a national treasure.
And the winner of the night:
#1 - Three 6 Mafia's performance and acceptance speech
Everything about this was just too surreal. From the Bob Fosse influenced pimps&hoes dance number to Taraji Henson singing so awfully in her junior high prom dress to the fact that the lead pimp dancer was played by the guy from Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo...it was a masterpiece of nonsense. And then they gave an acceptance speech like they were at the SOURCE Awards instead of the Oscars.
Showing 1 - 5. [ Next ]
