I had the extreme displeasure of watching the shreds of ABC's momentous "debate" and "coverage" in the wee hours today, and I was a bit put out.

Now, I dislike Obama.  I disagree with Obama.  I think he will be bad for the country.  He is a neofascist of sorts, and a misguided populist socialist at best.  All that having been said, WTF, ABC?!  This isn't news, it's pap and smear.  This is what passes for coverage in this day and age?

Now, in all fairness, I don't watch TV news anymore for five reasons:

1. CNN
2. FOX
3. ABC
4. CBS
5. NBC

If I need to watch something government-related, it's CSpan, and I make up my own damn mind.  This travesty that ABC pulled wasn't coverage, and it wasn't a debate.  It was nothing less than a full-court press for Hillary.  The coverage got even sadder watching ABC scramble to pull a giant CYA, and they actually relished that which should send them to the corner in shame.

Were the "moderators" running for president?  There was no excuse for this, and it was far worse than I was originally led to believe.  It's like the 1990's Clinton spin machine is firing on all cylinders.  Wake up, PA.

NBC can't crash tech Chevy pick-ups.  CBS can't avoid forged memos, and now ABC can't even run a DEBATE?  Really?  I'd be impressed by the level of incompetence, except that I can tell this was a Clinton Spin Machine inside job, and Obama walked right into it.  Where did the anchors get hired from?  I've heard better lies on a used-car lot.  It's obvious that the big 3 aren't even trying anymore.

If it wasn't for T&A and idiot viewers, I guess there would be no more network news.  As for me, I wouldn't miss it.  Let dead tree and TV mediums die, and let us be rid of them.  A pox on them all.  If we continue to make decisions based on this sort of thing, we are well and truly screwed. 

I'm not an Obama fan, and I can't say that enough, but I haven't seen someone trashed in such a dirty fashion by this Clinton outfit since Paula Jones.  They even brought in George Stephanopolous back for a nostalgic touch. It was like a video version of the GOP smears on Ron Paul.  Shame on you, HillBillary, for dragging us down into the swamp again.

ABC News finally added Ron Paul to their poll. Can you guess what happened next? That's right, Dr. Paul is comfortably out in front.

 

Ron Paul received 4,869 out of the 5,591 total votes. Who came in second? None of them. ABC left you the option of choosing, "It doesn't matter who won. I wouldn't put America in another Republican's hands." That option came in second. 

 

The option of, "None of them. I'm interested in the possibility of new candidates like Fred Thompson.", came in third.

Does anyone remember Frank Reynolds? He was the anchor of ABC news prior to Peter Jennings. I realized yesterday while reading an article about Jennings that Reynolds also died of cancer. Two anchors in a row is a bit weird.

And wow! How about the news that Dana Reeve has lung cancer and she never even smoked.

My quest to quit is going alot better. The cravings are getting fewer and farther between. There's still that bad craving after a meal but even it's getting easier to manage.My wife and I have taken up bicycle riding for exorcise and i really enjoy it. The riding is helping me to stay off the smokes because i know that if i was still smoking i'd never be able to do it. Besides after a long ride i'm too tired to smoke.
