Porsche revealed an road-active version GT3 of the 996 series which was derived from the GT3 of packing. GT3 simply called outside, the light materials described by car inside and, including thinner windows, the GT3 were a lighter and of 911 more focused with the emphase on handling and execution. The suspension was lower and more aggressive with the other 996s, driving with the excellent handling and the razor-pointed direction although the turn was very very firm. Of more than importance was the engine used in the GT3. Instead of employing a version of the units water-cooled found in the other 996s, the normal-aspired engine was derived from the car of packing of sport-prototype GT1-98 of Porsche 911 and comprised the light materials which allowed the engine turn strongly.
