The Times Union of Albany (New York) is reporting that 50 Cent, Timbaland, Wyclef Jean, and Mary J. Blige have been cited in a steroid investigation by Albany’s District Attorney. From the AP:

“Records shared with the Times Union and information from several cooperating witnesses on Long Island indicate the celebrities received prescribed human growth hormone or steroids. In some cases aliases were used for their delivery.”

Similar to pro sports, it’s not surprising to see celebrities getting caught up in the steroid game.  With videos continuing to get racier, they are under pressure to look better and keep up with the competition. 

Of the stars cited in the report, I have to say Timbaland is probably the one with the most visible changes.  I remember him as being a little bit pudgy, but at the VMAs this year, the dude was jacked up, as this photo comparison above illustrates.

So, here’s the footage everyone has been talking about (Eonline, NY Daily News). If you’re watching this, email it to your friends, because I want my watch back! That’s right, Fiddy. I realize this is the only challenge you’ve won lately (Cough, Kanye, Cough, Asskick), so I can understand why you want to keep my watch, but come on, man. How many watches do you need? I only had the one.

In case you don’t know the story, Fiddy came into the Hanes booth at the Style Villa and arm wrestled me for watches. My $50 watch against his $50,000 one. I knew I probably wasn’t going to beat him, but I also knew I wasn’t going to keep his watch if I did. So you can imagine how surprised I was when he actually kept my watch.

50 Cent was pulled over by police while driving his silver Lamborghini today.

The situation soon became a spectacle as 50 calmly sat in his vehicle — even smiling — while police handled their investigation and a few dozen pedestrians looked on. The G-Unit leader was eventually led away in handcuffs, causing some onlookers to yell out, "Don't arrest him!" The chants were to no avail. He was hauled off in a police car, and his vehicle was towed away as well.

At the station, 50 was not booked but was given four summonses: one for driving with an expired permit, one for driving an unregistered vehicle, one for driving without insurance and one for an unsafe lane change. He was released and is due to appear in court at a unspecified later date.

 

cloey, in all her infinate wisdom (cos it seems that these days her wisdom is infinate), has got me into another band. And they're newish. And...they're hip-hop.

Yup. The genre I feel Fiddly Sense (50 Cent), Eminem and D12, amongst others, killed, seems to be back in some sort of style. And it's good.

They're called Fort Minor, and is the side project of (apparently ex) co-frontman of Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda, along with a few of his pallies. And John Legend. I used to hate him, but he swears in the song he features in, so it's gone from all out hate to a mild-to-major disliking :P

I downloaded his/their debut album earlier this evening (titled The Rising Tied), and yeah, it's brilliant. Thank you Mike, you made hip-hop a likable genre again. At least until Fiddly Sense releases what he calls a "rap album" again.

Let's see, I also redownloaded Straylight Run by..erm..Straylight Run, because I don't think the one I'd got first time around was of brilliant quality. Another band the Infinately Wisdom'd cloey got me into.

I also managed to pick up the Shadow The Hedgehog's Original Soundtrack as well. It's not official as in a proper CD, but it's off of a website, so..good enough to begin with, I think.

Not a lot else to talk about really. Mena is now coming to visit me on the 6th December AND the 13th December :D I'd use italics or bold instead of caps for the "AND", but for some reason it's stopped working. Odd. It was working earlier. Anyways, yeah, seeing Mena twice in 8 days. Can't wait!!!
