20 @ MindSay
1 - I am named after a person I hated - and hated me. She's passed now, strange that none grieve her absence. I am best known by old friends as "Angel", the nick I carried all my life until 8 years ago when first my ex, and then Rob refused to call me by it but rather by true name. I still hate it.
2 - I feel unfulfilled and useless, despite being passionate about everything, and always helping someone.
3 - There's a fine line between depression and being mentally drained with me.
4 - I had always weighed less than 117, but I ballooned for 2 years up to a whopping 156. My old profile pic is from right before the gain, my newest shot at about 137. Today I am bouncing between 120 and 129. I hope it stays.
5 - I am short, 5', 1 1/2" tall. My natural hair color is calico (it changes hues randomly) and left alone, looks like a bad dye job. I dyed it to make it normal and uniform...so it wouldn't look dyed...!?!
6 - I love avocados...alot....thankfully they're diet-wise perfect for me.I am and have always been hypoglycemic, anemic (iron), and have a very low immune system.
7 - I want my own gallery...for any and everyone. No black tie, cheese and wine. Casual clothes, coffee and tea, and good pastries instead. You know, art by real people for real people. How blasphemous! Lol!
8 - I have 3 tattoos. The one on the base of spine was my first, yet I still got more. Don't like it, but I love the ink.
9 - I coined the name "NightElf Studios" because it seemed my magic and imagination only came at night..I was an insomniac. Now I am a day person...and a game uses NightElf as a breed....looking for a new name, obviously.
10 - I have given away more art than I have sold.
11 - The pieces I love and think are wonderful never move, but the ones I worry about are gone so fast it's unreal. Perfectionism at its' best, you know.
12 - I still cannot fluently draw hands.
13 - I want to do something epic, revolutionary, very in-your-face...and am clueless. Hence the afore mentioned unfulfilled uselessness. It's not boredom at this point, it's become monotony.
14 - I've been almost completely sugar-free for months, and now sodas make me feel ill. They taste weird too, but I still use a small bit of sugar in coffee...because the alternatives make my happy cup go funky.
15 - I don't want glitz and glamour, fame and fortune.
16 - I do want purpose, recognition, to make ends meet, and sponsorship.
17 - I have a life coach who probably thinks I am off my f*&king rocker for turning down the world on a silver platter just to stay here in Arkansas and grind away, and hope something comes of it. My lifecoach rocks, puts up with me, and I still wonder why - though I appreciate, admire, respect, and love him to bits ...not for being the celeb he is, but for being human and bluntly honest with me.
18 - I was trained and competed professionally until I was 17 on a national level singing 1st and second soprano for....OPERA. Oh yes, and none in english :)
19 - I wish I could think of something meaningful, or shock-value based ideas that I can use as a point for my medallion art and abstracts. I am drawn to them very much recently, but they mean nothing as a whole, and aren't anything that will cause any controversy...which I currently live for. Oy.
20 - I hate my surgery scars, as well as my stretchmarks.
Oh - and here's one extra, a truth that truly defines me, and how others see me.
Bonus, aka, 21 - All children like me, and most people in real life do too. Somehow those who talk to me usually feel open, unafraid to speak, and just let fly. Alot is personal, very little is fluff talk. I'm a people pleaser, mother hen, and I adopt and attract users habitually - not consciously, mind you, but I still do. I'm working on that...
I'm not going to tag you. If you read this and think there's more to you than a name game or stating your favorite episode of Beavis & Butthead was when he stuck a gerbil in a blender, then say something real instead. If not, cool, but at least I put myself out there for you. You have called me "friend" but you don't know me, really. Now , you pretty much do :) Hugs to all my friends with much love, Lilli
Then I had a milkshake. That's all.
"Yeah."
"Did he do that?"
The scars from my knees to my thighs added dramatic irony to the situation.
"No."
"Alright. Well, this may be painful."
I thought I was going to cry.
"You're not bleeding anymore."
I never wanted to be in that situation. I never wanted anyone to be. Being forced to talk about it, having to recount even the slightest repressed memory, having the doctors examine everything. Like being violated for the second time. The mandatory precautionary antibiotics tasted inconceivably horrible, all six or so of them.
Have to get tested this week, then once again in six weeks for HIV/AIDS, then six months later for the same reason.
I'm staying inside for good.
I'm Jamie White, I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. It's an ok place, but then again, I'm used to it. I went to a Performing Arts High School for a major in Vocal Music (Vocal Jazz, in particular), and I'm now attending CCBC-Dundalk in a major that I have no clue of yet. I'm 18 years-old, I have some pretty big dreams, and a pretty big heart (even though I claim I hate people). I play guitar and I sing in an acoustic project with my besfriend called; Layover in London (Click to check out our myspace!). I have jockey dad, a crazy mom, and a sister who is nothing like me. My bestfriend has red hair, you see, she's irish... She is a crazy driver, and she wishes she was Greek... I'm Greek, but only half. Anywho, Greeks are pretty awesome, but I bet you have already heard. Music runs through my family, I guess thats how I got into it.
I love music. I know that alot of people love music, but my love is more of an obession. I'm a human Jukebox; if you dont know it, I probably do. I love geres from Do-Wop to Rock and from Hip-Hop to Swing Jazz. So, you can expect every genre to appear on here at least once.
My favorite genres in include:
Pop Rock, Adult Alternative, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Classic Soul, Blues, Do-Wop and Swing
My favorite bands:
Goo Goo Dolls, Hanson and Matchbox 20
Well, I hope that gave you a little idea of how I work. If not, you learn more about me as time leads on. I hope you guys stay tuned, and I hope you enjoy my blog!
