I haven't been able to read in a room full of people because I have trouble hearing myself think... Maybe someday I will get past that. I hope so anyway.

I can answer this...

...but it is one of those "almost unique" situations, because many of my friends know I don't even read books.

I once read a book while hanging out with friends. These friends are my poker buddies. We were playing poker one time, and I pulled out a "poker" book and just read it while I folded hands I didn't want to play. Funny, I did catch a few good hands and continued reading the book. A few people thought I wasn't paying attention to the game, so they would call, and I would actually beat them! lol *(while reading that book).

In my situation, poker can be very, VERY boring when you're playing. I'm the type of person that folds a lot of hands (meaning I get two cards, and I throw them away, I don't play the hand). So I like to keep myself busy by reading e-books while I'm waiting for the next hand.

So I started that "reading books while playing poker" trend in my league. It's something to do when playing (or waiting for your turn to play) the most boring sport (if you call it that) in the world!
