I agree with a lot of your opinions. Do you agree that it is illegal because it clearly is, regarding a poorly worded question, or do you really believe that assisted suicide is wrong?
Thanks for the response. Nice to know we think in similar ways too.
Yeah, that was a poorly written QL alright. And, I answered it as asking if I agreed it was illegal. Which, as you read, it is. But, to answer your follow up Q:, I think assisted suicide is wrong in some situations, and ok in others. A deeply depressed person who just can't kill himself and wants someone to help is very wrong to me. But, a dying person in a hospital who has just has say a couple months to live and wants the Dr. to put them out of their misery, I'm ok with.

You're welcome. It is.
It really is, haha. I agree on those conditions as well. However, you didn't adress it, but I also agree it is okay on the following condition, depending: I don't have a physical condition, but as everyone has been sick and in sever physical pain, and if I had to live my life in that much pain physically and it would never change, I wouldn't want to live and I wouldn't want to put someone through that. Physical pain is different than emotional. Emotional can be changed with help, but if it is a terminal illness or something, and is causing the person severe physical pain every day, I don't think the person should have to be forced through that against their will. I have not had experience with this, it's just what seems right to me. I wouldn't want to see someone I care about have to live not being able to enjoy life. What do you think of this condition?

Well, I thought I addressed it quite well actually. But, that's just my own opinion.
What do I think of a person who is in so much incurable pain that they want to end their life by assisted suicide? Well, again, if they were treated in a hospital, and had examined all their possibilities that they could, and death by assisted suicide was their choice, then yes, I think a person has a right to choose that. It is their life and they should have the right to die however they choose. But, on the flip side, if it were a person in excruciating physical pain who had not sought out all their options before choosing to take their life with help of someone, I'd be against that.

Yes, if the reason they want to die is because of the terrible pain, and they have tried everything else. It means they really want to live, but not in that physical pain to the extent of which living is just not enjoyable. All options should be tried, definately.
