Yes yes, fruity buns - you might know them as hot, crossed buns? They were originally made for feasts of the harvest. The farmers would make them with all the fruits of their harvest, to make them rich and tasty, a celebration of spring. The christians adopted this idea but put crosses on them to signify the renewal aspect of resurection. It's a meeting of cultures but I still like them.

Wow, maybe you don't have those in the 'states. They're a european thing I guess, so the english probably brought it here. That's interesting, I thought you would have them. Learn something everyday if we're lucky, eh?
